This movie is an actor's dream too. All these actors got to play different characters all in the same movie and really showcase their range. And of course this highlights Brendan Fraser because he is the center of attention and he is phenomenal, hilarious, and deserves all the praise he gets.
The fact that they only touched up his nose and hair in a different way to make him "great looking" for this character just goes to show how genuinely gorgeous Brendan Fraser is. He's the whole package and I'm thankful that he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

It was all a combination that makes films really good back then, the costumes, make up, the writing and even director being on top form to get the best he wants out of the actors in the movie

I used to have a DVD copy and would play it anytime I had someone over to my house as background noise bc it was so funny & with all the scenes & wishes you could miss scenes and pop back in for the next & still enjoy a laugh, while not missing much of the actual story.
When I saw this movie at the theatre, when the elevator doors opened and Brendan turned around, I remember hearing a few women around me go "Oh wow" lol He was SOOOOOOO fine back in the day.

I can answer that - whenever I focus on Neo-Romantic art from those countries (for the sake of simplicity, we're going for the years of 1850 to 1890 as that is how I've seen it defined), the era was full of rapid political and social changes that led to what we now know as the modern era and as such, we see these countries with cultural identities defined prior to Neo-Romanticism try to find a way to keep their relevancy in the new age. I...admit to bullshitting my way through most, if not all, of that. This comment is meant to be a joke.
Brandon Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley get a lot of credit- and rightly so- for their depiction of Elliot Richards and the Devil respectively, as indeed does Frances O'Connor as an always slightly different Alison Gardner. However, the unsung heroes of this film are, I think, the actors who appear at 0:45 (the "pooblished" academic and the gentleman to the left of him) and 4:59 (Elliot's gay lover), given that they, too, appear as completely different characters in most if not all of the scenes involving the various "Elliots" we get to see. They make the film what it is.

The proof shows that you simply cannot find an (x,y,z) solution that satisfies the equation for n>2, So her giving an impossible problem as potential homework for mere highschool students is indeed very devilish XD

One of the most underrated comedies of all time. The Golden Touch is not only the fabulous script and brilliant acting, but, in my opinion, the dynamic direction of the late Harold Ramis.
I find it fascinating that DeNiro is regarded as a great actor, Fraser is regarded as a good action and comic one. What Fraser does in this movie is beyond DeNiro's ability, and RDN has maybe had more chances than anyone in Hollywood.
