In contrary to what you said, both the 30 TFSI and 35 TFSI have 4 cylinder engines. Audi stopped using the 3 cylinder engines for this latest model. They still call it the 30 TFSI which is confusing.
Currently have a '22 40 TFSIe (PHEV) and love it. I think what impresses me the most is how the car view the world. It does take a drive or two to get used to it, but letting the car brake for you as you approach junctions, roundabouts, or changes in speed limits. And, no, this is not via regenerative braking. The EV side, whilst not perfect, does allow a few driving options - my commute, 15 miles one way, is at a nice 110 mpg. With this update, seriously considering going A3 again, just a shame there's not a full A3 ev... as the Polestar 2 is very tempting.
