Then you have people like me who get fooled by something that looks perfect as can be, just to realize that they want to dictate every aspect of your life. Holy shit guys! Iḿ from Sweden and we are like 95% atheists here so we look at religious people with a little wierd eye. But you really proved me that I shouldnt judge people so fast. Your discussions about diiferent religions and peoples approach to them and the different ways to be a believer shows that you really think for yourself and not letting the holy book or a priest do it for you. Iḿ still against all religions, in my eyes they are just different clubs for the same thing. And clubs tend to compete and discrimate eachothers. Keep the faith, do it in your way as long as it makes yourself and others around you better. Thats my way to see it, but sure I could be wrong. I dont think any of us will ever be fully learned in life and its very important to know that. Thanks for another great vid. Iḿ a subscriber now :)

Seeing the excitement in people's faces upon finding Thy Art Is Murder for the first time is always great. Now you almost have to do Reign of Darkness. An arguably better song. Thy Art is incapable of making bad music, honestly. Love this video so much.

I just found your channel today and it's the first "reaction" channel I like. I thought how can anyone react to O Father, O Satan, O Sun for over 30 minutes. I watched and I liked what I saw from you two, and fell down the rabbit hole of watching your videos since you are listening to all the bands I like. Though you won't hit all the high notes for my musical tastes until you get a Mastodon song uploaded. Preferably off the records Crack the Skye, or Leviathan. Keep up the good work, I love how you do these deep breakdowns of the lyrics and really discuss things. No other channel is doing that to the level you are. Not that I've seen anyway. I also like the Christian perspective you give on some of the songs, given I am not a religious person at all. I don't view things the same way, and it's nice to see that opposite viewpoint.
Thy Art Is Murder is fairly well known within the metal community, they're a Deathcore band, not something I usually listen to myself, as I'm more of a traditional metal kind of guy, but this song in particular is great in my opinion, especially considering the subject matter.
So the genre of this song is what we call deathcore, it's characterized by death metal with a mixing of really breakdown focused hardcore, thus the frequent breakdowns heard. As someone who really, really hates deathcore, this was actually nice. It had a ton of dark atmosphere to it, which I tend to value quite a lot, and most deathcore, and even modern death metal bands, seem to utterly miss this characteristic. Thy Art is Murder also had another song which probably fits better with the Black Fire show called Light Bearer which you may also enjoy, though to be perfectly honest, it sounds more like a poor man's Close to a World Below by Immolation, which you should absolutely get around to.
Here’s a song I think you’d really enjoy.. Underneath A Sullen Moon by Shadow Of Intent .. deathcore band with melodic death metal tendencies.. beautifully written all round
You guys may not believe this, but the vocalist for this band is practically the nicest dude on the planet. I've met him heaps of times as he's basically a local guy to me (I'm in Brisbane, Australia. He's in Sydney, Australia) this music does not describe his personality at all
VinAnd Sori I'm sure you will. They do tour over there a lot. Along with the other Aussie band Parkway Drive. Both very big over in North America. All great guys too.
The vocalist actually did not write for the band it was the drummer who does all the writing but c.j. McMahon (vocalist) has a truly monstrous voice and is a sight to see live
Your knowledge ad admittance of the atrocity of that era of history and actually understanding what was being said in this song right off the bat is commendable. Keep it up
It's not exactly a tool song, layered with subtle double meanings. Anyone who doesn't 'get it' is being dishonest, denying 'their sides' bad actions. Bad faith actors everywhere. Vin and Sori are cool though. They don't seem to pick a single side, which we need more of on this planet
Sori was getting into this one! It is quite hilarious in no small part thanks to irony. I love you two. Great song choice guys. Was enjoyable. Keep it up.
Hate religion, grew up in a church environment but I really respect your open mind it's great to see and I just show respect to everyone, no religion is needed for that. Religion divides deludes people, more power to you guys 👍 if it makes you happy and a good person go ahead no hatred mate x
I'm a Christian, I grew up in church. Some of my fondest memories are me and my best friend sitting in the bus during church trips splitting ear buds listening to The Faceless, Gojira, Amon Amarth, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, etc. So glad I found more of my people! Subscribed.
You guys are a much needed breath of fresh air when it comes to these reaction videos. mentally stimulating, charismatic and genuinely funny. Intelligent analysis and criticism of metal is always welcome. 'Scribed. 👌 👌 👌

Hey, after Lost In Vegas, here is a second reaction channel worth watching! Great video here, definitely learned a thing or two. I rarely payed attention to lyrics before, but it's nice when cultured people do such an interesting interpretation. Keep going Vin & Sori!
You're welcome :) If you guys are interested in another band in the same genre, I would suggest Fit For An Autopsy. Their song (and video) "Black Mammoth" has interesting lyrical content and the music is pure madness.
You guys should react to Puppet Master by Thy Art Is Murder. Great song along the same lyrical content as Holy War. By the way, I love your vids and I just subbed! Very refreshing to find open minded people willing to listen to the message behind the music!
this couple is very understanding. to this day I'm still impressed at their reaction and at how much knowledge they've associated with the song, which is definitely killer. Thy Art is Murder nambawan!
Also this reminds me of when I was on active Israeli army base giving supplies to 25 young men between 18 and 23. A few of them said to me 'two of our good friends died three fields away last week' pointing to shell strewn lands. The harsh sadness and gentle wisdom tore at me and all they wanted was peace in their land.
I've never heard a better conversation about war and religion with complete open mindedness. You both rock! It's my first time running across this. I hope you keep up great conversations.
I have come back to this video about 1000 times and I love it as much as the fist time I saw it. Love everything about what you guys do and I hope to see more :)
I think I'm getting a feel for Sori's taste in music. It seems pretty similiar to my own. Metal songs I think she'll like: Gojira - l'enfant sauvage. Lamb of God - Vigil or Walk With Me in Hell.
Would love to see an impending doom reaction. Such a heavy Christian band. I'm not religious at all but their lyrics are crazy. IMPENDING DOOM. Give them a listen
Your channel is excelent!! Please try a band where all the members are vegies and hippies haha, CATTLE DECAPITATION - THE PROPHETS OF LOSS , the song has a velociraptor in the voices and a witch ;) , but the lyrics are the most important part, you'll see, watch the official video! Greetings from Paraguay
Now if you're going to react to TAIM, you absolutely have to do "Whore to a Chainsaw". That song is so brutal, so hardcore that CJ, the vocalist, refuses to do it live anymore.
Dudes! I heard this song this morning and it has become my favorite song right now. I agree. Finally some good music with such a strong msg. As a Christian myself I get the msg in this shit. It hits hard. It’s hits nerves. And it speak so much truth! I love you guys. Keep stuff like this coming because it gives a good opportunity to discuss what’s actually going on in the world. Keep them coming guys
I've been watching a lot of reactions of this song and I think the line "Hatred marked as madness" is very underrated. Especially in these times where mental illness is such a serious issue worldwide.
Thank you guys for being a great example of Christians and not the typical crazies you see most of the time on the internet. God bless.

VinAnd Sori did it
They should do blasphemian by infant annihilator
Metal lyrics and meaning should be a college course. Great discussion by you two. Try Impending Doom-Murderer or Thy Art is Murder-Reign of Darkness
not rly, metal lyrics are pretty straightforward, rap is generally harder to understand
@CrashFlicks nah bro, i find alot of metal is very straightforward compared to raps wordplay
@@akiya9216 rap is just full on puns and metaphors and they really aren't hard to understand.
@@akiya9216 clearly you haven't listened to Behemoth or Cradle of Filth. Not that those bands lyrics are hard to understand, but some songs have a kind of complexity lyrically that most people wouldn't understand without a lot of research.
@@jonathanmcmullen3324 He hasn't Metallica Megadeth, Pantera just to name a few
I'm an atheist and this video really moved me! I love seeing how pumped you guys got over the song and your insight into the lyrics, subject matter and history was incredibly interesting and thought provoking. SUBBED! :)
Appreciate that !
Try infant Annihilator
Not sure if they're ready for that, some metal heads don't even know how to cope with them... Lol
That's not nice rofl
This would be amazing. Lol.
They are not ready...no lol
ya to be fair they are not gonna be ready for those fuckers they are like levl 10 on the i think they can handle this they are at a levl 4
Vin is really smart good shit man breaking all that down.
love your guys deep break down of the lyrics and contextual side of the song. I think you could really carve yourself out a niche in the youtube world doing breakdowns like this. awesome 😊
Thank you ! What particularly stuck out ?
VinAnd Sori I just enjoyed the extended discussion, I found it interesting. most reaction channels just give a short reaction and then move on.. I appreciate that you guys allowed us into your deeper thoughts/opinions
Impending Doom - Murderer
Tom Pickens Cause Impending Doom Mosh4Christ
Dude yessss
I was literally thinking of suggesting this song too..... Haha.
Please!!
Tom Pickens YES
Immediately subscribed after hearing about two minutes of your dissection. You guys are AWESOME.
Shit is heavy on so many levels. I love how your jaws dropped, and eyes got big during the intro. Respect. Keep up the good work.
Long live 🇸🇪!!! Get us some in flames requests
Dark Tranqullity actually have helped In Flames a lot with their material. They are both from Gothenburg.
Just wtached another video by you nad you just impress me more and more in the way you are thinking. Being openminded, being able to admit if you are wrong and learn and evolve.
Keep it up! You really stand out, and yeah, the more you pisses off the more you make people think and question things. As long as you dont piss ppl off in a bad way that is :P. You restore hope in me!
Scandinavia gave birth to a thunder god A THUNDER GOD with hammer then replaced him with a virgins baby haha
LMAO her change of heart from being like yeah man when they said “die for god, die for allah” to utter devastation when they say to shoot children was hilarious 😭😭
Thy Art is Murder - Puppet Master !!!
Song fuckin kicks ass
Yassssssssss
And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope by Ne Obliviscaris is one of the top five metal songs of all time imo. You guys should definitely hear it.
BRAVO
Black Mammoth or Saltwound by Fit for an Autopsy!!!!!!!
Max Castillo there's actually a death metal band called saltwound that is pretty good.
I was just about to suggest this
Adolf Hogg do you mean Salt the Wound?
PrequeltotheSequel yeah my bad. I had a little bit of Grandpa's cough syrup last night. LOL
Black mammoth for sure
Everytime I watch your videos the intro always sounds like she is Canadian and apologizing for vin.....
"I'm vin" "and I'm sorry"...
You two Are great..
Lol !!
Vin... Did you throw sori's underwear at the end of the song?!?
lmao
A hahaha I was expecting this for to long
Fun fact. Finnish slang/spoken language word Sori directly means Sorry
I listen to this stuff regularly and I still got taken aback when the lyrics started, and I'm an atheist
you two are awesome
This band is wicked good with the writing of their songs you should watch the music video to Holy War you get the symbolism better with the visual you should check out same band the purest strain of hate you want some rhythm it's a good song to
Shawn Wacek Reign of Darkness too
Shawn Wacek Dead Sun
Seeing the excitement in people's faces upon finding Thy Art Is Murder for the first time is always great. Now you almost have to do Reign of Darkness. An arguably better song. Thy Art is incapable of making bad music, honestly. Love this video so much.
I've seen They Art is Murder live and holy shit that pit was pure awesomeness. ✊💯
FUCKING BET
Just saw them in st louis with architects. Holy. Shit.
I said the same than came across humanitys last breathe a new favorite but I love thy art seen them at summer slaughter and since than been a bigger fan
Hate religion, absolutely love how you guys analyze this though. Also learnt a few things too. Keep up the great work, keep being awesome people. All the best!!
Thy art is murder and fit for autopsy are two great underrated bands need more ....!!!!
Martinezjoe74 lol thy art and ffa arent even underrated in the deathcore genre
seax x yes agree for people into deathcore like myself. But a lot of people that aren't in the scene doesn't know these bands. So yes to me there underrated to the masses since there are more people that don't know them then know them.
Martinezjoe74 Deathcore is "underrated" in general because it's in the metal genre though. They're the big dogs in the this subgenre though.
this analysis was actually incredibly interesting, enjoyed the video!
Usually reaction channels are something I dodge at all costs but this makes me happy af
Subbed!
Good as song too, Thy Art is one of those bands where they have MOSTLY good songs, and it's hard to find one you skip.
Puppet Master is worth a review
On the list !
Damn that was quick! I clicked a video and realized I didn't sub so I came back lol
Keep it up!
I just saw thy art 3 weeks ago. Good guys from australia! Hung out with the drummer for a bit...
Lol
I cried listening to this, not my 1st time, but damn the way they reacted, not angry or not listening, but actually caring and giving it a chance, and they r clearly vibing. Respect.
Some bands y'all should listen to:
Shadow of intent-malediction or melancholy or macrocosm
Insidual-any song
Kublai khan-cloth ears, the hammer, self destruct, the truest love
Currents-any song
Alpha wolf-akudama or creep
Chelsea grin-the foolish one, m6 damnation, angels shall sin, demons shall pray.
And many others, but thanks for doing this and being y'all. Enjoy and hope u guys have a good day
OMG Sori's reaction was the best. This is the first time i have ever seen the lyrics to this song, Have loved this song for years even seen these guys live but never seen the lyrics. this really enlightened me this song is alot deeper than i have ever known. Thank you for doing this song.
Awesome! Our pleasure !
Sweet!!! Glad ur enjoying!!!! -Sori
Sori: why would you throw thooose?!
Vin: they don't know what that is
😂😂😂😂😂
....soo what was it
@@alexfrank6534 bruh
EvolvedPants I watched it like 3 times!! What was it?
Looked like some panties!!! Lmao!!!
Thy Art Is Murder is fairly well known within the metal community, they're a Deathcore band, not something I usually listen to myself, as I'm more of a traditional metal kind of guy, but this song in particular is great in my opinion, especially considering the subject matter.
beardmachine I’m on the same page. But their newest album has a lot more death metal influence I think and it sounds great
Bob Ross yeah, dear desolation is a fantastic album. check it out my guy.
There’s plenty of deathcore bands around that use this Dark atmosphere perfectly
bmfan well said, personally i too find even this song to be quite cringy.. can see how others would be into it tho..
Been jamming this one on repeat since it came out!
Thy Art Is Murder's newest album is heavily leaning towards death metal if you're interested (:
I still come back to this video, this is my favorite reaction, your exististential crisis during the solo, I feel that
How about Architects-Nihilst
I think that's the perfect song for christians
You guys may not believe this, but the vocalist for this band is practically the nicest dude on the planet. I've met him heaps of times as he's basically a local guy to me (I'm in Brisbane, Australia. He's in Sydney, Australia) this music does not describe his personality at all
I’m sure he is... I’ll get the chance to talk to him I’m sure !
VinAnd Sori I'm sure you will. They do tour over there a lot. Along with the other Aussie band Parkway Drive. Both very big over in North America. All great guys too.
The vocalist actually did not write for the band it was the drummer who does all the writing but c.j. McMahon (vocalist) has a truly monstrous voice and is a sight to see live
yet hes a total ass to his band mates due to drug use
tooootally a nice guy...
'Scribed. 👌 👌 👌
Thank u!!
Youre very right Daris
Thy Art Is Murder is one of my favourite bands, I was genuinely worried to watch this, but honestly, it's one of the best reaction videos I've seen! Thank you for this.
Me too. I agree with you! Thy art is murder is just perfect! Whitechapel is one of the best deathcore bands ever, from my point of view
I’m so happy with how open minded you guys are. You guys are freaking awesome honestly!
"THYART IS MURDER" Is the best DEATHCORE BAND EVER TO LIFE. I am a glad to have seen them live. CHEERS FFL
Hey, after Lost In Vegas, here is a second reaction channel worth watching! Great video here, definitely learned a thing or two. I rarely payed attention to lyrics before, but it's nice when cultured people do such an interesting interpretation.
Keep going Vin & Sori!
Thank you !!!
You're welcome :) If you guys are interested in another band in the same genre, I would suggest Fit For An Autopsy. Their song (and video) "Black Mammoth" has interesting lyrical content and the music is pure madness.
Vin is so lucky to find a woman like Sori.
Dude is DEFINITELY creamin those buns. I would, I ain't mad at em 🤣🤣
Once again bleed me an ocean by Acid Bath I think Sori will love it.
We dont play around in Australia! Do Impending Doom “ The serpent servant”
4:55 when you realize everything you know is a lie
Theres a song called they will know another by them, really cool also!
You two are awesome! I love your videos
Dope reactions of thy art
The best reaction by the way!, your face when the lyrics come up was priceless 😁😁😁😁.
Hahhah I just went and Checked it lol ur right!!! -Sori🤟🏻
I've never heard a better conversation about war and religion with complete open mindedness. You both rock! It's my first time running across this. I hope you keep up great conversations.
Haha I love it. Thy Art is an incredible band and that specific album is a metal masterpiece.
React to impending doom its Christian deathcore you'll love it
Also with blood comes cleansing
@@XxMATTxXist golgotha is fucking amazing. Not religious myself but damn it's a great song and album
I have come back to this video about 1000 times and I love it as much as the fist time I saw it. Love everything about what you guys do and I hope to see more :)
Damn that historical knowledge really makes the lyrics even better
Thanks !
dude I see you and your spite logo everywhere! lol I love spite tho!
I think I'm getting a feel for Sori's taste in music. It seems pretty similiar to my own. Metal songs I think she'll like: Gojira - l'enfant sauvage. Lamb of God - Vigil or Walk With Me in Hell.
Oh, and The Mirror's Truth by In Flames. Awesome melodic death metal band.
Lol I think your taste is quite similar to mine as well. Especially Gojira- L’Enfant Sauvage
Oh yes Lamb of God - Vigil would be a great one
What does genres have to do with anything? Lol
For me, I’d listen to anything but I prefer certain sub-genres over others.
It makes me feel good to see a couple enjoy the music me and my girl enjoys as well! Brightens my day!
Would love to see an impending doom reaction. Such a heavy Christian band. I'm not religious at all but their lyrics are crazy. IMPENDING DOOM. Give them a listen
They are actually the best deathcore band I heard next to Whitechapel.
Greetings! Listed!
Now if you're going to react to TAIM, you absolutely have to do "Whore to a Chainsaw". That song is so brutal, so hardcore that CJ, the vocalist, refuses to do it live anymore.
Very much like this in-depth discussion compared to the normal barebones zero-creativity reactions on youtube. Super good work you two.
I wish i could talk to you IRL guyss, much respect
Stay tuned we’re working on ways to connect more and more !
i hope so :D
BTW you might want to check out Impending doom, it's basically christian tech deathcore
but, somthing tells me you are aware of this bands existence right now
For Today is a good Christian metalcore band. Sori will love it. My favorite is the song Fearless.
NE OBLIVISCARES!!!!!
KP256 PLEASE Vin and Sori, you won't regret!
KP256 YES. PLAGUE FLOWERS THE KALAIDESCOPE
Or “EYRIE” off of their new album!
benheninger or intra venus
Just any of them
I've been watching a lot of reactions of this song and I think the line "Hatred marked as madness" is very underrated. Especially in these times where mental illness is such a serious issue worldwide.
This song still gives me chills everytime I listen to it. I may be a christian as well, but I love this band lol
I love what your doing, it's dragon energy for the people.
Yaaaasss
Damn this is fresh, u guys are actually cool.
One of my fav bands at the moment
