i'm new to mizore's story and i have been trying to figure out why he was moved to this new location? he seemed so happy before with his zookeepers and fellow seals! now he feels kind of lonely :( that's very sweet of you to visit him as often as you do! he seems to be very good at recognizing faces, so i'm sure he appreciates you coming by so much! he seems so lively and friendly ❤️ i wish he had more friendly company in there with him :(
It's for breeding purposes. Transfers among seals in captivity happens all the time. Also, we should not hold seals to have the same standards and emotions as us humans.
@@halfey animals do respond to isolation and poor conditions though, just the same as humans. especially after being actively socialized their whole life. it's not wrong to be concerned about him seeing him in these conditions. i did some reading and gathered he's thought to currently be in an isolation tank to adjust him to the new environment before integrating him with the other seals, but even so it still feels barren. it's natural for people to take issue with that.

@@dahktuh No. The people who involved in this know what they're doing. They've been breeding the seals for decades and studied their behavior. It's likely that mixing him with other seals right away could result in confrontation, thus it was better to let it happen gradually. Seals in the wild are also quite solitary and don't form a pack. That's why adult seals don't use vocalizations much since they rarely need to interact with other seals.
I' am quite curious as to why little mizore isn't with lulu and pise, I mean in his old home arare mama and yuki had no problem with little mizo(unless when their shedding fur) it might be because arare mama was familiar with mizo that they kept mizo with arare and yuki.
he needs to get used to this new place before he is going to stay with them. But what ive heard is that keepers will try them to live together sometime this year.
