I love the example you sighted about the Lekki Toll Gate 'Tax is sweet to pay when things work'.

Hello, Arese. Thanks so much for this content. It is truly eye-opening. However, I have two questions that I'd like for you to address.
    1. I heard Mr. Shonekan mention in this video that the state government is responsible tax matters concerning for individuals, sole proprietorships and individual-owned businesses. I live in Ogun State and run a sole proprietorship, and my business is currently registered as a business name. If what Mr. Shonekan holds true, why am I paying my taxes through the FIRS? Is that something that should be checked? Am I being wrongly taxed in any form?
    2. I have a corporate client who wants to pay me money a job done and they're requesting tax clearance from me, but I do not remember my TIN to facilitate the process to secure the needed paper. I visited the FIRS here in Ogun State to request retrieval of my TIN, but they mentioned something about issue with their server. As a consequence I went on the Joint Tax Board website to verify my TIN; after filling the required information, the feedback I got was that there was "No Record Found." What do you think about this and what do you suggest that I do? Thank you, Arese. God bless you.

Following the new Finance act 2020, any body earnings the national minimum wage or below will not be subject to Tax..... So 15k won't pay any tax
