  • Yuji Nishida (西田 有志, Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese male volleyball player. Currently, he plays for JTEKT Stings in V.League Division 1.
Nishida made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTEKT's Starting 6,[3] as well as Japan men's national volleyball team. Nishida also led the team finishing 7th place after 29 years, in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
On April 4, 2022, Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) announced the 2022 Japanese roster for competing in Nations League, Asian Games and World Championship. Nishida had the name among 35-player roster after didn't join the team in 2021 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship tournament last year, due to his preparation for Italian league and the injury. His national team jersey number changed from No.11 to No.1.[61]
On June, 1, JTEKT Stings announced that Nishida would joint the club again for Season 2022-23

I think the reason I and so many others love Nishida is not just his relatively short stature and great skill, but also his incredible attitude towards volleyball. When he smiles after he gets a point it is so contagious!

I'm glad other ppl also think the same way! I saw a comment saying he was getting too cocky and full of himself with the way he acts with each point, but I think it's really just him loving what he does and just loving the sport itself. You can just feel his energy through the screen

I don t think Japan is going to win the vln , Japanese are like Germans they give 100 per cent of what they can anytime.
You ll see Brasil coming back when circumstances require it.And other teams too.Poland France.
Nishida is playing really well but don t forget he is still nr 723 in world ranking .He is doing an excellent job in serving but against a good block you will see his limits .As we saw his limits in the Italian league.
Brasil lost 3 0 against China , those people are too relaxed. In the tought times you ll see who is the best.
China has excellent players too but they are not going to win thr vnl, Japan did not win 3 0 against Brasil but it does not mean anythink.
But the Chinese do not get the media coverage Japan got.Had Japan won 3 0 against Brasil some youtuber would have written Japan destroys China.
And if we want to pick up a really excellent player in the Japanese team that man is Ishikawa.By far the best Japanese player since years.

May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."
God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus & put your true faith and trust in Him today & repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) & stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

@@samuelvieira2696 It's all a matter of where you draw the lines between Celebrating & Showing off - for some, they may perceive he's just being super excited, and for others, they may see him as showing off. Sometimes, it's the appropriateness of the action to the situation: you don't react the same at match point compared to Championship point, right? Nothing against him, I really like his discipline, spirit, and determination to become the person he is today, but as an Asian (culture of humility), I find his "celebrating" a little too much for my taste. I don't know if it's just his way of expressing his passion, but I've seen others celebrate in roaring fashion and it was never cocky.
He cannot be blamed for the loss of his club. Team sports depend on the team systems, no matter how good a player is
