"Just that hesitation" This is a sprint, there is not hesitation at all. You go into a sprint and one starts. Van der Poel started, Wout responded immediately but we saw what we saw during the whole race: whenever Mathieu attacked it took quite some time for Van Aert to respond simply because Wout is less explosive. I watched the sprint watching from the back from start of the sprint to the finish and Wout never gained any ground on Mathieu.
One of the biggest takeaways for me was how clean and honest this race was from start to finish - no mechanicals, no crashes - just two legends pushing each other beyond their own preconceived limits.
Fun thing is that Wout was looking at Mathieu when he attact in the sprint but just had no answer at Mathieu explosive jump.
Excelente 👌 cuanto me alegro MVP
Félicitations Mathieu, bonne continuation pour la suite de la saison.

The correct translation of Nieuwenhuis is Newerhouse. :P

Great thumbnail to ruin viewing for anyone who hadn't yet watched
If you’re only interested in the winner, you have no idea about the sport
Every time one guy is crying about the headline or the thumbnail. Grow up
some races ago MVdP even abandoned, then 'Magically' wins everything … he had no 'back problems', he Lacked Hyperbaric chamber !
