What a wonderful testimony, thank you so much. No child, nor adult , should have to experience what you did. I guess it’s less traumatic in a way than many others but it in no way coveys what you all went through. Your poor dad, I think for so long he wasn’t permittted to speak about his Dachau ( oh what the poor man must have seen) but it was still there, festering inside his head. No wonder he got it all mixed up. And your mum, perhaps she couldn’t understand either , perhaps she was back to being scared also. Years of fear and hunger and with a child to shelter , it must cause havoc on her mind. So glad you met someone nice and had a good life. Wish he’d given the opportunity to ask about your children.
