      While I agree that there might be some guys and girls that use the preference of a "poly" relationship as pretense for being dishonest in a relationship, you are wrong to assume this is true as a blanket statement and I wish to show you a different perspective. There are people out there that really, truly seek a polyamorous relationship with another partner and intend to do so in a manner that also aligns with their said lover's boundaries. This is coming from my point of view as someone who has only been in monogamous relationships and I have no desire for a partner that seeks for a polyamorous relationship.

      I’m 55 and my son is currently 21. He lives on his own and has a job but he won’t talk to me because when he was 20 he was dating a 26-year-old. They met when he was 18 and she was 24. I found out that they were dating so I took his phone, deleted her number, and forbade him from seeing her because of the age difference. I explained to him that he was a child and that true adulthood starts at 21. 18-20 are children but 21+ are adults. So 21 dating 27 isn’t bad. I tried to move out but I forced him to stay in my home. He asked if we could talk about it but I wasn’t having it I’m not allowing my son to be a victim of pedophilia. When he was 20 he moved out and I have been texting him and calling him but he won’t respond and he hasn’t dated anyone since. My friend's daughter is 18 and I want my son to date her. He needs to date girls his own age. What should I do? Also, I never said that he couldn’t date older women. Like I never really explained to him that he was still a child at 18 and that the age of adulthood doesn't mean shit I also didn’t allow him to date in High School but I said he could date when he goes to college and I think he met her there. She was his first girlfriend, first kiss, etc but like I said he was still a little child and she was an adult. 21 is when adulthood starts at 21 he can date someone who is 27(well not her because she was 24 and he was 18 so she was a pedophile), 31, etc. My friend's daughter is 18 and I want to set my son up with her because I want him to date people near his age. The oldest an 18 year old should date is 22. What should I do? And all these people telling me to mind my own business have no kids. I have all the right. I second that. After I recognized that none of my relationships were working, I had a long period of self reflection and alone time. I worked on my self, and being happy by my self. Then I met someone who's truly good for me. Hopping from one relationship to another without a grace period seems like a crutch in my opinion. I've had conversations with people I was with years ago, and it seems like some of them are the same exact person, while I'd hardly recognize the person I was three+ years ago. I just took responsibility for my bad decisions and recognized when I was the problem, and grew because of it.

    It's a red flag if they're constantly complaining about their past exes, but if they simply had bad exes then it's not a big issue for me. Like I get not making many good choices in partners in previous times, I think you're allowed to have that immaturity to not be able to recognize red flags in people to a point, it's when they can't stop talking about how bad they were that it becomes a problem. Then it starts to look like they're grasping for a reason as to why that person bad and they're good. That's just me. I definitely ain't calling my ex tho lmao

      Im biased because I date women, but every single woman I have ever dated has mentioned that their ex was somehow bad/mean/abusive toward them. It's a subtle psychological technique to save her from a bully; and to convince you that she is a good person. And most guys buy into it quickly because they desire to fix problems. It's only after a while that they learn she contributed to the drama in her relationships, but cant be seen as the bad guy or take accountability. Once he gets fed up, or angry, and she monkey-branches to another, he is now the bad guy she tells the next guy about. I feed into it though because I will tell ALL of my exes to never contact me again.

I try to get to know people as friends before I date them but a lot of times people act really differently in relationships than they would as a friend. Just my thoughts.

@@llawliet6262 Sis, you can't micromanage your sons life. Children are individuals. Plus, at 18 in the United States (Assuming thats where you are), he's a legal adult, which means you have really no say in what he does in his life. You tried to dictate to him your rules in your house and he did exactly what an adult would do when he disagrees with your dictations, he moved out.
      As for the young lady that you want your son to date, its like this. Either he has to want to date the woman himself on his own volition or you are S.O.L. on that one. I get you love your baby and I said that because its obvious you still believe he's your baby, but he's 21 now, you can't do anything except stand by and stand back. Because truthfully, your son's a legal fully grown adult who makes his own decisions and you have no say in any of them anymore. Its hard to do after you've had that power for the 17 years prior but from 18 on, its on him.

She also said she wanted to hit him up so she can know, but she clearly knew because she said he was a serial cheater. And he said it as if he already told her. So what's even the point?

    • @ejhdbegbeidishdj9358
      @ejhdbegbeidishdj9358 7 месяцев назад +2

      It’s contextual. It’s very easy to judge as a third party but there’s different factors that would make someone stay with a cheater, even if they don’t like it. You don’t know if their finances were tied up, if they had kids together, if they worked together, if they’re from a culture where breaking up is inappropriate, if they were going to work on it together with a therapist, etc. You just don’t know. Very bizarre comment.
      Edit: also, her saying “serial cheater” doesn’t imply that she knew he was cheating while they were still together. It just means he was having sex with many women during their relationship, either with or without her knowledge. Use your common sense.

These Cut producers definitely possess black air energy to the utmost degree. My ex lives in the Philippines and we broke off cause of my parents really thinking she was gonna move here cause of green card. But her and I are on relatively good terms.

      A lot of em do. A lot of them don't. What you ought to do is go spend a year in the Philippines with her. Chill out on some beaches, experience the culture. If she is educated and has a good job there, then there's no reason to take a wild animal out of it's natural habitat.

      I'm currently in the Philippines with my girlfriend and her family. You're not wrong on that end. I do enjoy that she's from Tarlac where you see very few westerners. It's also so cheap to live out here month to month in relative comfort.

    Past relationships provide experience and aid one to grow and develop. I've had some good ex's and some bad. None of them were inherently bad nor good people because actions align to those axis not people.
    Either way I'm grateful to my ex's, the experience they gave me in all aspects of a relationship made me who I am today. I'd never date them again, don't get me wrong, but they were a part of my life at one point and I don't desire to dismiss those points in my life.
