Fantastic advice, TM Raymond! I recently joined Toastmasters in Orlando and table topics was by far my least favorite aspect of the meeting. Initially I was very frustrated by being put on the spot and being asked seemingly random questions, but my opinion has now changed. I realize the purpose of table topics is to help us learn to think quickly on our feet and become more effective and impactful communicators. I now have a deeper appreciation for table topics and am working to learn to get better at this skill. Thank you for sharing your valuable insight and tips!! I will put your advice to practice.
