Thanks for all the details that companies never show us
Glad that you appreciated the effort. They do not have even a single paragraph of information regarding this cloud storage in their documents.
It was one of the most detailed videos I've seen of the camera.
I wish all owners of such cameras would watch this video.
Thank you for the kind words. I could not find what I wanted to know about cloud storage from anywhere else. So I set out to to find them myself. After seeing encouraging comments like yours, I am glad that I did.
for cloud subscription, need to subscribe per cctv / camera ? if have more than one then need to subscribe more ?
There is no option to subscribe to cloud storage for Mi 360 camera in the Mi Home app or website. I think each camera has a bundled subscription with it. So if you have two cameras, you will not need to buy a second subscription
Proper quality video, everything explained properly.
Thank you so much .
So which other alternate camera has good cloud upload feature? That actually works? And is there any camera that can upload the footage on my personal cloud like one drive/gdrive?
I think the Qubo Security Camera has Cloud storage feature but as I have not used the camera, I cannot tell you exactly. Have a look here amzn.to/3T5g7hL
Very clearly and nicely explained. Informative and helpful. A big thumbs up..,👍
Thank you so much. I'm happy that you found the video helpful
Crisp and clear explanation. Good work
Thank you so much 🙏
Brother tapo c200 is best as compared to mi 360 cctv camera please suggest me? Iam confused
If you want to save videos for an extended period of time, Go for TAPO. If you want better quality visuals ( 3MP vs 2MP) go for Xiaomi. But if you can record in TAPO without the internet, I would suggest to go with the TAPO one. The Xiaomi camera will stop recording even to the SD card once the internet connectivity is lost.
Thank you! This was a very helpful video.
Glad to hear that. Thank you for the appreciation 😊😊
There was no detailed reference to the cloud storage anywhere. So I decided to make one based on my experience with the Mi Home Camera
can you suggest is this a good buy? or only this model of Mi camera gives 7 days free recording?
I think the 2i model also has the 7 day rolling storage. The camera is really good if you have an uninterrupted network availability. If you have a break in WiFi, the recording will stop.
@@NewbieHelper yes earlier they were offering in 2i model, but now after govt mentioned cloud storage policy in India, they are not offering 7 days free in 2i model.
Thanks I have 2 doubts
1. how is your experience with 2K price as price is little high 4499/- is it justify based on quality?
2. if wifi stop for sometime, then it will do offline recording in sd card, or it will also stop?
3. is the motion based recording is sufficient or it miss important recording sometimes for cloud storage?
OK. For the 2K Pro model, it is still working. I recorded the video this month. Here is the answer to your questions.
1) I had a full HD model before buying the 2K Pro. I did not find much difference in quality to justify the price difference. It is claimed that the 2K Pro version is good at color recording at night but the difference is only minimal.
2) It used to record even after a loss of Wifi, but after recent updates, it is no longer the case. The recording to SD card also stops as soon as the Wifi is lost. As the recordings are stored as 1 minute clips, you can lose footage up to 1 minute prior to the Wifi loss. I have a video here : ruclips.net/video/HW8jAaMIb9o/видео.html
3) There is a clear absence of recording after the initial 9 second clip. Motion trigger will not be activated and no clip will be recorded even if there is movement after the 9 seconds until the notification interval expires. But the detection is quite sensitive especially in the night mode. Even if a bug flies in front of the camera, it will trigger the motion sensor.
THANKS, Man!
No problem. Happy to have helped. 😊😊
Hi How to purchase storage clouds to full video recording because my free record 3 month is finish
I searched through all the menus and even the Xiaomi website but I could not find that option.
@@NewbieHelper for full video recording, Mi provides 3 month trials?
No, I have not seen such an option at all. If they give an option to cloud-store full video, they would have to spend a lot of money as one day of full resolution video will take around 10 GB data.
After saving recording in cloud when I see the recordings frame in the half screen how I can set good recordings frame
You can maximize using the button at the bottom right corner that look like two arrowheads pointed in opposite directions
@@NewbieHelper thanks dear 😊
I have 360° degree camera of mi but it says cloud storage is expired/discontinued, how to buy storage?
They discontinued cloud storage for some models. I have not yet seen any option to buy cloud storage either in the app or on the website. I am sorry
@@NewbieHelper for 2k pro it is still working?
@@ShivamGupta-cb6be Yes, it is working.
Super video ❤
Thank you very much!
Can I save whole 24hrs videos in android mobile storage
I already save clip by clip but I want 24hrs properly save videos please advise me how can I save in android pc laptop even I have camera sdr card but I cannot save 24hrs records
Only way to do that is to remove the memory card and take backup of the whole thing with PC or mobile phone.
Using the Xiaomi Home App, you can download a maximum of 1 hour worth of clips at a stretch.
@@NewbieHelper thanks dear 👍😊
@@NewbieHelper please make a video and send a link then I understand
@@user-rq2wx3sw3y I will create a video on how to download videos from the Xiaomi Camera.
@@NewbieHelper thanks and send me link
What if we want 24 hours recording for continuous 10 days !?
You need to disable the movement activated recording and use a memory card of at least 64GB record. Or you can use a NAS storage with a large capacity. There is no option for cloud recording for such lengths.
Bro it’s not showing in my camera! I have bought new cam and home servillence but vid mot available
I have recently learned that cloud storage is a country specific feature. It might not be available for your country. I can confirm that it is still available for India. I hope that's what you wanted to know. I am sorry that I did not fully understand what 'vid mot' meant.
@@NewbieHelper bro I’m also from Gujarat! And the Video clips of 9 sec is not available in Mi 360 cam 2k which is launched in 2024!
₹2999 ~
I also have old mi 2k pro cam which is ₹4500
And it still shows 9 sex clips!
I called mi customer care and they are saying the cloud storage is closed in india!
Maybe old users are getting this but not for new!
Pls verify and tell me !!
Please make a video on storing video on pendrive using router by nas storage, if not possible please reply
I have a jio Connection and I can confirm that it is not possible to use pen drive and Jio router to make NAS connection. I am not sure if any other router will support the feature. I will ping you if I find a solution
@@NewbieHelper Can Onvif be used for storing in NVR ? Or is there any other way of storing data wireless
@@vedanshgupta3579 Wireless storage of complete footage is possible only thorough A networked drive. I have seen that my laptop, when connected to the same wifi, is detected as the network drive but since I cannot keep the laptop ON indefinitely, I did not try it.
@@NewbieHelper please make a video for the solution of storage of wireless camera
I will have to procure a new Router to test it for NAS storage capabilities. As you can see in my channel, I usually create videos on the devices I use. So procuring a new Router would be a waste for me as I will not be able to use it as my regular router( I have a jio connection so would have to get a new service provider too). I hope you can understand my situation.

Oh, I didn't know that. I have a pending update for the camera. I think, after the update, mine also will be gone. It was a pretty useless feature anyway. 9 second backups were as good as no backup.
For me, on the 2K Pro version, the feature is still working. I don't have the 2024 version so don't mind me asking but have you turned the 'Home Surveillance' feature ON?.
@@NewbieHelper yes bro, for me too, on 2k pro it’s working but we bought it long ago, that’s why it’s maybe not working on newer versions
I did some research and found complaints that people from other countries received emails about scraping the feature.
So I think they are abandoning the feature step by step.
No continuous recording?
No. No continuous upload to cloud. There only continuous recording to memory card
I use SD card for storage, but every few days it keeps on asking me to format my SD card, and i cant retrieve the recordings at all... any solutions on this??
I have not encountered such an error in the last 2+ years. I am using a Samsung Memory card. Which one are you using?
Previously I have encountered failures in memory card from San Disk on other devices. May be format it using an external device and use it in the Camera?
I used sandisk
I bought new sd card also, after 1 week again it asked to be formatted
@@jayantailani3254 Oh there migh be something wrong with the Card interface of the camera. Did you format it in another device and try?
Can we insert 128 gb sd card
I have a commenter using a 256GB card. So I think you can use the 128GB too.
How I can save recording in android automatically
There is no option to download them automatically. You can only dance them in batches of 1 hour duration.
@@NewbieHelper thanks
Whats the point of 9sec recording if used for security. This feature is more like toy
Exactly my thoughts. I also think they do not advertise the feature much because of the limitations.
Also, if you set the interval to 30 minutes, once the trigger is activated nothing will be uploaded to the cloud for the next 29 minutes and 51 seconds no matter what happens in front of the camera
@@NewbieHelper any suggestions for cloud storage. Looking for indoor camera which can be used for security with cloud storage. Cloud storage for 24-48 hours is sufficient. I guess qubo with subscription is the only option
I guess so. But if you have a Network Attached Storage, you can use that to store the video from Mi Home Camera
@@user-bj5gn8gl9y Hi did you purchase any, I also have same requirement. did qubo offer monthly subscription only which month required?
Did xiaomi stopped free 7 day cloud storage?
It is still working in India, but I have heard from some users that Xiaomi has stopped offering cloud storage in some other countries.
@@NewbieHelper OK, because free cloud storage is only point for which I thought to buy xiaomi . Is there any other camera which offer free cloud storage ?
@@user-jc5ve9fi2s I am sorry to tell you that I do not have exposure to any such camera. I saw in my research for this video that some TP-Link Tapo Cameras like the following one has Cloud Storage. amzn.to/3Ihc37P But as I do not own the device, I will not be able to confirm it.
In my camera, i just see person detected/motion detected with time tabs in Surveillance but no video. Its says no video yet in top half of screen
Can you see the preview image beside the 'person detected/motion detected' card?. Are you using this exact model (2k Pro)?
@@NewbieHelper no i cannot see preview image. I am using the latest 2024 2K model. Not the pro one
Ok. I think they are actually phasing the cloud storage feature out. In new models, the surveillance is available only when the camera and the phone is connected to the internet. In older models like 2k Pro, only the phone needed to be online.
@@NewbieHelper oh okay. Thanks
Is there still free cloud storage..?
For the 2k pro cloud storage is still working . But not for the entire footage. Only 9 second clips.
@@NewbieHelper and is it available for 2i..?
I don't think so. I have a previous commenter saying that 2i version does not have the cloud storage option.
@@NewbieHelper and are you sure 2K is supported cloud recording, bcoz there is no advertisement on website for 2K model..?
Sorry for replying late. Yes, Cloud storage is working for me as of now. I just checked my surveillance tab and 9 second clips are there.
I have heard that they have withdrawn the feature in many countries.
9sec is a joke and deal breaker
True. It's just a gimmick with no real world use.
