After that the quality starts to rise and the prices reflect that to an ABSURD level. Racing is the sport of millionaires and that is also true for sim racing (prices are just stupidly high is what i mean// or in other words: Its quality, but with an really unreasonable price) Companys like Fanatec sell you a Wheelbase (WITHOUT PEDALS AND A STEEERING WHEEL) for 500 bucks alone. They explain it to you with having the "opportunity" to change the steering wheel, it has SERVO, Real FFB, a good "back-to-mid" spring (wheel goes back into 0°) and magnetic gear pedals and at least 1080° rotation. Next to that you can buy some pedals for 400 bucks and the steering alone for 250 bucks.

This stuff can't be mass produced because of the overheads and low margins. I run a $2000 DD. I reckon the price is justifiable. Saved for nearly a year

Same, I like to do 15 - 20 laps depending on circuit in single player and make it so that the everyone uses the same car because I feel like if you choose a certain class of cars, the game will just pick whichever ones are the most rubberbandable like the Ford Focuses or Audi TTS

Once I met a guy who crashed into me during a sharp turn, throwing me off course, and took the lead for the entire race. I was content with second place, until he slowed down right before the finish line allowing me to pass. I don't know him, unfortunately
I did this on the Eliminator. I was trapped on some rocks and a dude approached. He waited until I (eventually) respawned before challenging me to a head to head. I took the lead and it looked like I was gonna win so I slowed down and said 'Thanks' as he passed to take the lead.
That is exactly why once I became grandmaster in ranked, I stopped playing the game entirely. This game has the worst problem with people crashing you all the time to get 1st place. This exists in the previous 3 games, but not as bad. And people bitch when I say I prefer ghost racing. It's because people can't do stupid shit like that.
PG and T10 need to take a page out of Polyphony‘s book and implement a penalty system, and a proper one at that. GT Sport‘s system can be very iffy, but it generally deters people from being dicks, and we need that in Forza.

It’s still a simcade (though more arcade-y than Motorsport’s simcade), and it still has a core fanbase that came from the Motorsport series who want to race properly, but also want the experience of racing in a more open world setting.

Everytime someone rams me my car literally gets launched into outer space but when i try to ram them back their car is an unmovable object and they just ram me off by lightly steering into me

i basically only raced until i got thru my first year then set up my own money farming race and used that to buy the cars i want and now i just roam the map in maxed out hypers, gotta love using a maxed out, perfectly tuned centenario for an afternoon cruise
I wish ghost modes in games didn't actually turn your car half invisible. Being with other players is less fun when everyone around you looks like a ghost, but its extremely handy for things like this.

I was playing races. There was these three kids. Together they continuously pushed and rammed everyone of the track all game long, and on the last lap they decided it would be funny to also block the finish line of….
Shit like that is when me and the boys fight fire with fire. We’ll get the heaviest cars in the game and start shoving them back. Though this works better in team games.
I remember when Forza online was meaningful and actually competitive. Now you have to deal with these kind of guys as there is no way to boot them out anymore and they are plentiful... Why I only do drift and drag lobbies anymore on any of the games. Generally the only group of racers who can't or don't cheat
I feel like the only way to fix this issue is by having races that have simulation settings turned on. Because playing with collisions off makes it feel like a time trial, not a race, but simulation turned on taking damage will affect the race and trying to ram someone like that will most likely spin them out.

One time I was doing cross country online. I'm crap at cross country and I was driving the g63 6x6 and accidentally hit someone side on because I didn't realise the understeer I would get. And everything I tried made it worse and I felt very guilty after because the brakes weren't good enough and I couldn't turn so sorry to that person please realise it wasn't intentional

I have a clip saved to my console of a guy who attempted to ram someone off the road on a ranked street race, forgot the name but it goes through that really difficult speed zone south of glen rannoch, he whiffed the ram attempt, hit the rock wall on the outside and literally BOUNCED OVER the road, possibly my best racing experience in this game, couldn’t stop laughing lmao

Same thing happened to me in this easter trials. I was a lot faster than the guy in front of me and didn't let me pass. We lost the 2nd race, but thankfully he started behind me in the 3rd race and we won
@@NattyStar77 Yeah it happened to me as well, but to me the guy didn't limit himself to block me, he legit launched me the opposite way of the checkpoint. Went from like 1st/2nd of my team to dead last. And don't get me started on the AI, I saw one deliberately trying to pit my teammate multiple times in front of me. Fortunately it failed miserably but all in all this trial sucked MAJOR ass.

My main gripe is the Playground Games & the other multi-player events in the Forzathon menu.. Why is it SOOOO complicated for people to tune cars or HAVE cars tuned for specific events?!?! I have 1000 cars in my garage & EACH has a specific use, a good 90% of my cars are tuned to specific classes, racing styles among the various car groups.

I remember when Forza online was meaningful and actually competitive. Now you have to deal with these kind of guys as there is no way to boot them out anymore and they are plentiful... Why I only do drift and drag lobbies anymore on any of the games. Generally the only group of racers who can't or don't cheat

I feel like the only way to fix this issue is by having races that have simulation settings turned on. Because playing with collisions off makes it feel like a time trial, not a race, but simulation turned on taking damage will affect the race and trying to ram someone like that will most likely spin them out.

One time I was doing cross country online. I'm crap at cross country and I was driving the g63 6x6 and accidentally hit someone side on because I didn't realise the understeer I would get. And everything I tried made it worse and I felt very guilty after because the brakes weren't good enough and I couldn't turn so sorry to that person please realise it wasn't intentional
People that rammed by you will notice that it was unintentional, its okay.
they need to add a feature so that cars go through to avoid these type of plays in the newer forza I understand ur pain :)

Just play Forza Horizon 3 for the best experience. Or Forza Horizon 2 for the best physics the series has to offer.
This is soo true ! Horizon 4 is no where near as good as 3 ! That's facts it's more of a cheesy racing game now and horizon 5 looks too arcadey for me I won't be buying it !

how do you steer while your in the air? he was going forward because there was literally nothing else he could do. i also like how the other guy bouncing off the wall is excusable to you but this guy not being able to turn after being hit is what bothers you.

The guy doesn't seems to have the intention to ram you, he just wanted to get back on track and since you had the worst luck to forget about brakes and being really nearby you got Yeeted but i don't see the toxic intention in this one.

I have a clip saved to my console of a guy who attempted to ram someone off the road on a ranked street race, forgot the name but it goes through that really difficult speed zone south of glen rannoch, he whiffed the ram attempt, hit the rock wall on the outside and literally BOUNCED OVER the road, possibly my best racing experience in this game, couldn’t stop laughing lmao
Or he just crashed his car and he had no control over it and you just happen to be next to him and going over 200+ mph don’t anyone could react in time to recover from a crash 🤔

Same thing happened to me in this easter trials. I was a lot faster than the guy in front of me and didn't let me pass. We lost the 2nd race, but thankfully he started behind me in the 3rd race and we won
@@NattyStar77 Yeah it happened to me as well, but to me the guy didn't limit himself to block me, he legit launched me the opposite way of the checkpoint. Went from like 1st/2nd of my team to dead last. And don't get me started on the AI, I saw one deliberately trying to pit my teammate multiple times in front of me. Fortunately it failed miserably but all in all this trial sucked MAJOR ass.

and that is why the concept of drivertars is more like drvertards. While this is pvp, the learning system makes the AI drivertars do this shit too.

My main gripe is the Playground Games & the other multi-player events in the Forzathon menu.. Why is it SOOOO complicated for people to tune cars or HAVE cars tuned for specific events?!?! I have 1000 cars in my garage & EACH has a specific use, a good 90% of my cars are tuned to specific classes, racing styles among the various car groups.
