Hi y’all! We were having too much fun out there today lol! It was a great dive and I have been needing some new clothes.. so it was exciting to find bag after bag of them in the dumpsters! Cut plywood for the tabletop, screw it on and mosaic a table top. I have done a couple. Get tile sample boards from floor store. It's fun & pretty.

Awesome finds. Kelley when you find t-shirts that are slightly stained maybe you can find someone who makes the jump ropes for the Christmas boxes that are sent out each year. Most churches make them for these boxes.
i have never heard of this now i am intrigued and must google clothing jump ropes.

When I find items like the Columbia and Nike that have little stains, I save and wait until I have a good amount and I dye them! Obviously darker colors like navy blue or black, gives it a new life.
Try some blue Dawn on those grease spots on the Columbia sweater

4:30 that 800 tag is what my movers have used... it doesn't start at one, but is just a set of numbered stickers they put one on each item. In theory helps with keeping track of inventory for the move but I have only had them count and verify on an international move. But when a sticker is on every single thing you own, some of them stay on there a while.
Some auctions will use similar stickers to keep track of the sales.
But u need a scrapper friend to pick the metal table stand up and swap some details with so they let you know when they find the stuff you want too.
You need to find laundry detergent for the amount of clothes you find. Happy thanksgiving

Run a magnet over the candy (just in case.) And check the individual ones for needle holes.

I wanted to suggest listing some of the clothes in same size bundles on local free groups, so it goes directly to people who need it.
Also looking into local textile recycling options for the clothes that can’t be donated.

I haven't read all your comments so I don't know if anyone else has said this but Dawn dishwashing liquid is supposed to be really good for getting oil and grease stains out of clothes since it's a strong de-greaser.

You saved some great looking clothes from the trash. I get so upset when people throw away perfectly good clothes instead of donating them. We don’t have enough space to put trash, let alone things that could be donated and recycled. Our earth can’t handle all the dumping of usable things. We ALL appreciate the work you do, it has never occurred to me to throw clothes away. Here in Massachusetts the VVA...Boys & Girls Club.. Goodwill. Salvation Army will all come to you house to pickup furniture, lamps, toys, clothes and usable household goods. There is no reason for all this waste.

Hi Kelly, for any stains that look oil based use baby powder on them. I lay them out sprinkle a bunch of baby powder on and around the stain and let it sit for 24 up to 48 hours. Then I shake it off, put stain remover on it (I use the clorox gel stick) and wash gently on cold. I never dry anything with a stain as that sets it, so when its done with wash I hang to dry. When dry I check for the stain. In my last attempt, I had to repeat the process twice. I think first time I did not let the powder sit long enough. And after two tries it came out completely! It was a $164 originally metallic champagne color lauren raplh lauren cocktail dress...I had only paid $5 for it at goodwill. I now have it listed for $49 on ebay or best offer. I figure with holidays coming up the dress should sell, crossing fingers. Thanks for showing us your finds!

You may want to look into donating to foster kids clothing centers or banks in your area. Kids show up to homes with the clothes and shoes they have on and that's it. GREAT HAUL

It’s great that you rescue all of those clothes and wash them up…but if you donate them to thrift stores a lot of them are going to go back into a landfill anyway.
Also, mosaic tiles ❤❤❤ on cut board.
When you find only 1 shoe and not the other one…you can donate them to a facility that helps people with 1 leg and foot.

I always take to thrift store or a donation box.
Now I found that There is a pick up from diabetes foundation here in On Canada
You just pack up clothing in boxes or bags with ‘D’ on it put it on your porch they will give you a date & time when they will come for pick up.

If you look around utube you will find people that scrap dive using a scooter and bikes. It's crazy to see how they strip things down and pack storage tubs strapped to the back.
