What’s interesting about the Chamber of Secrets is that it’s one of the shortest books in the series but the movie is the longest movie in the series. It was my favorite as a kid but as an adult my favorites would be Prisoner of Azkaban and Half Blood Prince.

I have to chime in for the Harry Potter question. Favourite book: The Prisoner of Azkaban, no doubt about it. Facing the Dementors for the first time, absolutely horrid. My favourite movie is... Deathly Hallows Part 1 simply because Hermione narrating the tale of the three brothers was the perfect adaptation of the scene in the book. It went above and beyond the source material, which is very rare to see.

That's a really cool point about Deathly Hallows that I haven't heard before! Personally I'm glad they split it into two movies, I think it was the right decision.

Such a missed opportunity to take us outside of Hogwarts to all sorts of foreign magical lands; instead they spend the whole time camping lol. I do like the infiltration of the Ministry and Gringotts though, great way to pay homage to those locations one last time. And then obviously the second half of the book was near-perfect, a showdown at Hogwarts is all any of us could have asked for. And the movie arguably took that to the next level, just one of the more perfect adaptations I've ever seen.
Ahhh, yeah, that would've been a great idea to explore, especially after Goblet of Fire's world-building. Gringotts and the Ministry were pretty good scenes, too. LotR is a better adaptation, though. ;P
order of the phoenix has a soft spot in my heart. since its the first book i actually read as a kid without it being school related which also is more impressive since it was like 1k pages and i had to read that thing under a magnifying glass cause my eyesight sucks. as for movie, yeah prisoner of askaban is really good.
Oh, likewise, OOTP having a special place in my heart. I was a young teen when that came out and I basically felt like I was aging with the characters. All their relationship drama was VERY relatable at the time lol. And like you said it was a feat to get through as it was absolutely massive!
Order of the Phoenix for the book it was peak storytelling at its finest it twas jk rollings 1st time getting really dark in the series and the movie would be half blood prince the fact that we had to wait that long to figure out certain things was epic the lighting and dark atmosphere really complemented the book and gave off what was being told.
