Roxette was always innovating, from romantic ballads, through pop and ending up in rock. Want to hear more of Per's voice? React to "Call Of The Wild", "From One Heart to Another", "Pearls of Passion" and "Silver Blue" where his voice echoes with sublime lightness. " Things Will Never Be the Same " , " The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye " and " The Rain " cannot be missing from your list.

The Heart Shaped Sea is another solid one that highlights his voice.
The band in this video mostly consists of members of his other band, Gyllene Tider. At least Micke Andersson on drums and Anders Herrlin on bass. Marie really liked the song so they recorded it as Roxette. Gyllene Tider has some great songs, though they’re in Swedish. Rockier, tongue in cheek. Don’t let the language barrier stop you from checking them out.
I really like Somnertider...sounds like Tommy James & the Shondells, doesn't matter it's in Swedish, it's so catchy!!

They've always been a full band, and on this song, it's Per's earlier band Gyllene Tider with Marie harmonizing...to be honest, this is always how I like Per/Roxette best...rocking powerpop...
Love this still. It was 1 of 4 new songs recorded for their first greatest hits, Don't bore us, get to the chorus. A bit of Sleeping in my car kind of vibe. You don't understand me and I don't wanna get hurt are the 2 ballads recorded for that greatest hits and AWESOME songs!!!! ❤️

@@roxerforlife3663 me too!!! I remember listening to Breathe probably 20 times a day after buying The ballad hits. Everyday is also another one that I can't get enough of. Breathe would have been a way bigger hit than A thing about you. I just know it. My world my love my life as well. The voice is another all time fave. And I wish Per would have included Don't believe in accidents on the new album. That 80's vibe and melancholy melody is just too awesome. I can't wait for Anton to listen to Have a nice day. Waiting for the rain will probably always be my all time fave song. I know not a lot of people get the song, but I just love a good na na na na na from Roxette ❤️
Yes, that greatest hits changed my life. It literally made me pick up a guitar when I was 13.
Per is one of my idols and probably the most influential of them, his songwriting is superb, funny simple and elegant at the same time. I write songs and play guitar in a punk rock band since decades and when people ask me how can I put a "pop component" into my songs even if we make a lot of noise and our singer screams and yells, well: thanks Per for making me pick up a guitar when I was 13.
One of my fave Roxette songs ever! It just build and builds and builds and makes you want to listen to it again and again... and again. Now you need to react to the other "uptempo" from this Greatest Hits comp, "June Afternoon".
And why not try out "Do You Wanna Be My Baby?" from his first English solo album The World According To Gessle, that literally followed the release of "She Doesn't Live Here Anymore". It's a whacky, weird music video too!

This is a great one. This song was recorded with Per's former band, Gyllene Tider. But Roxette band members appear in other videossuch Dangerous, The big L. and Fading Like a Flower. Anton, you really need to listen to June Afternoon.

Yes. a powerful song the sound is very Gyllene Tider (the legendary band 'sPer). The video is excellent. It is one of the 4 unpublished songs that included the greatest hits album in 1995.
Another song with a full band visible is How Do You Do?. It is a very happy song and looks like they were not making a music video but just fooling around.

I found that it took me a few listens to grab the greatness of some Roxette songs. But once you do, WOW you fall in love with them💓
Raw stuff from Roxette was awesome. The demos of 'Sleeping In My Car' and '7Twenty7' are amazing.
You should take a look at something like "Joanna Says" and then "Shopping With Mother" "Name You Beautiful" all songs by Per. And then look at Never Is A Long Time, So Far Away off the Roxette Tourism album, and maybe something like Stars, and "Sing Along", for a look at how versatile Per's music is. And even something like Kix off his old album "The World According To Gessle" or "I want you to know".
Tourism is probably my favourite Roxette album actually.
Maybe check out "Way Out" too off Charm School. And "No One Makes It On Her Own"

This was from their first Greatest Hits album and was in the period both Marie & Per were more concentrating on family and not being very productive artistically speaking.
However, in 1997(when Per's only child was born) he released his first solo album in English: The World According To Gessle, which is my favorite Per's album because it is so similar to Roxette. I think Marie sang in one of the songs called I'll Be Alright.
You can see the band members in videos like Chuch Of Your Heart, Fading Like A Flower, Fingertips, Sleeping In My Car and SpeakTo Me.
Marie and Per never dated, never were an item. They were like brother and sister. They were happily married to other people.
It is a key rise after the solo, that is why it sounds a bit different.

I don't think this is that late in their career, judging by the look and based on ancient memories, I'd say this is just about post Crash! Boom! Bang!. Might have been a new song added to a collection album that came out thereabouts.

This is actually recorded by Gyllene Tider (the biggest band from Sweden, first band from Per). Marie doesn't even sing on this song. You should listen to Gyllene Tider. They are the best! In my channel I have many videos of GT.
