@@piotr7427 I think you are oversimplifying this. He certainly cannot win but neither can he lose.
Like him or not, he is an experienced politician and a former spy, he knows he can't win but also knows he doesn't have to be cornered. I think it's very illusory to believe he is going to back down because of some sanctions.
Amazing how used to mindless American babbling we are used to to fill 24 hr news cycles. Then you hear something like this and suddenly realize that there are people with real world knowledge that should be the main focus and not these talking heads. Props to her and the interviewer here
Wow, she is spot on
Браво, Нина Львовна!
Спасибо Вам!
Way too short. This woman has so much to tell us and teach us. PLEASE have her back soon!
Hopefully l she will be back
Oh, I agree l it was a very short interview . I hope she will be back
This woman is a dunce!
@@ecurewitz Hello Belly, how are you doing today
I'm from Russia and I agree with her.
CNN needs to produce more useful interview content like this.
Hard too, just focus on jan 6th, white supremistly, cover bidens gaffes
Never gonna happen. They make propaganda, this just happens to be one you like.
Other than Julia Ioffe, she presented to best analysis I've heard yet. Why haven't we seen more interviews with her?
Great interview with Nina Khrushcheva. There's sadly so many interviews and viewpoints from people who aren't that knowledgeable about the subject matter, on Ukraine or so many other things, that its so refreshing to hear a great interview with a person with a so much more profound understanding and expert knowledge, and who also has the ability to formulate it to a broader public
Exactly. And she is obviously not one of them.
She's definitely right about despair... I also can feel it in the air here in Moscow. Despair mixed with disgust to those that support Putin and yell "kill more Ukrainians"
Are people truly aware of how much destruction and hell he is inflicting on Ukraine? I can't believe this is happening in my lifetime. Your country is so sick.
Take care and stay safe.
love from Holland.
I really enjoyed hearing her perspective.
Prof was super enlightening
Great insight and well-presented.
The professor is dialed in and clearly knew what she was talking about!
Russian Republic: Their is a possiblity that Russia can change for the good of the world. G20 is the right time, right now( )
()
G20 is the only way! This KGB stuff has got to go. Putin has to comprehend that historically Ukraine is not going to bow down to a man that wants to control a country that wants to be a democracy. Russian people know that a Russian Republic will work for them ( )

Professor other Fool or enemy or both.
"He's both rational and irrational"
Yeah...What a deep thinker.
it's george orwell 2022 - is she even a real professor ? talking such garbage
I really respect and appreciate her unique insights into her own society. Listen to her!
A treator, and a ugly one
Her own society is helpless and has been ever since Lenin. They only know a dictator ordering them to brutalize their neighbors and themselves in the name of russian patriotism.
This professor provided first hand info that I've not heard in any other report. Good job CNN.
@Kinyobisan
You think this is good? You should see her in person....
Ever since I came here in 1979 and I noticed that every time there was a democratic president in the Whitehouse.
There was always wars or chaos every where around the world
He will not stop until he is stopped.
Very intelligent and articulate response.
Yea he never thinks!!!
'Level of despair indescribable' after the guest just described it. Nice...
She is GREAT! Love listening to her
She is definitely the kind of person who should be having more to time. She is very knowledgeable and what she says made immediate sense. Thanks
How much is she being paid for that ugly propaganda I wonder
A truly wonderful professor, so interesting. I have listened to Russians speak of their disapproval of Putin, and his government while in democratic countries outside of Russia, and they appreciate the simple act of free speech, which so many take for granted in the West.
My first time to hear such a wise lady may God give you more life
this is the standard of interiew we need .well done
Simply put, Journalism believes that it is speaking to unintelligent or uninformed people. They simply need to update their procedures. The average investor reads or at least scans about 10 different newspapers a day to get a world perspective since the advent of the internet.

I could listen to this lady for hours. Very realist and nuanced report on the state of things in Russia.
How do you know? What made you write realistic. Teach me how to judge 100 + cultural country without knowing its languages, history, traditions. Without trying to walk in "their shoes"? We get why she can - she paid to say that, but why you mate? Is it brainwash? Why are you so arrogant? Journalist have to present objectively the case from at least two sides and let the viewers to decide. The presentation of the problem should be based objective things like economics, history, interactions within, interactions outside, major players and their interests, but no all comes to "too crazy or not so crazy" how dump is that! Shame on you for your simplicity.
Haha and what made you think that just by listening to one interview when you are behind a camera your and actor
@@alexandrfedotov6791 No, journalists do not have to present all sides. Most journalism is slanted. If you don't realize that, shame on you for your simplicity.
@@wandasetzer1469 most of journalists are slunted and mostly for money (to make a career), which is a kind of prostitute. Simply put it
@@alexandrfedotov6791 A journalist present facts in an envelope of standpoint and attitude. It’s always the case. There’s always a bias, and you are indeed crying about something not achievable - with thorough analysis you’d need hours, not an interview minutes short.
On the other hand, Russian media do not even attempt to be objective.
She is very interesting to listen too.
Why not close caption the dialogue for those of us that are hard of hearing . PLEASE !
Extremely well said from someone with a clear insight into Russia. 👍
Finally someone who knows what she's talking about, not just some self declared "expert" doing guesswork from 10000miles away. Thanks prof. Khushcheva
Wrong. She moves with relative freedom in and out of Russia because of her grampa, but she's a windbag of the neolibcons
What a GREAT interview. Thanks CNN!
Fascinating.
Good to hear from the grand daughter of Kruschev herself. Much has changed in Russia except for Putin - still living in the nostalgia of USSR.
great-granddaughter
Russia seems to be going about this like it was ww2 all over again. There are nazis everywhere, indescribable cruelty is the norm and civilian infra is a free target.
Not really - I say not at all - its the west that tries to paint such strange picture of Putin. When there were protests in last 10 years in the east Putin was always super reluctant to do anything about it and frequently refused to send any police help. He could have easily rebuild that part of Soviet Union yet he never even moved a finger to do so.
amazing insight and expression
Great interview
I always enjoy hearing from Ms Khrushcheva.
Wow, she is tuned in the world we ALL inhabit.
Great interview wished it had been longer..
me too
Respect she has a good feel on what's going on ... better than media speculation and over hype sending out messages of worry 😟
He got the "I don't think" part correct.
"War is Peace. Ignorance is Strength." On the Button. Thank you George Orwell.
