Saenchai the living legend. Massaro did pretty good to be so young at that time. I've seen older, more experienced fighters who couldn't land some of the punches Massaro landed. He got tossed like crazy, but he had heart.
First couple rounds senchai let's him do his thing, just chilled while he studied the young man, then as the fight progressed, it was almost as though senchai didn't find him worthy so he threw him to the ground over and over again to say he is the boss, and to dominate his opponenet, and that he did, senchai didn't even elbow or knee once to the face either, just kicked him snd threw him to the FL ground dozens of times, stylistically it appears he was saying you're not worthy enough for me to use elbows and to hurt you, that's some deep shit and incredible display put on by the master, he was gracious overall
Smash Smash I think it had a lot to do with him literally being a boy in his first Muay Thai fight. No reason to ruin him. It made more sense to go the rounds than stop him, especially since there was no danger.
Malek Kushi I realize that my word choice may have come across negatively, but I assure it was not, and I am not taking anything away from him, it takes courage to enter the ring let alone stand toe to toe with Senchai, anyways I can’t “ruin” him by a comment on RUclips

When locked up in the clinch both fighters will battle for the dominant position. When knees are executed in the clinch they must be countered or else the fighter who executed more knees will score more. If a sweep is executed and both fighters fall the fighter who lands on top gets the advantage.

What a Champion ! He has fun as well, his skills are incredible. This is a 2015 video. One commentator said that Seanchai is slowing down...I don't know what match he was watching! Also 6 years after, in 2021, Seanchai is even better and he's still at the very top of Muai Thai.

These announcers suck. They repeatedly talk about how "old" or "slow" Saenchai is getting, while he's wiping the mat with yet another bigger, younger opponent. Saenchai is a master.

This kid is fearless. Of course Saenchai is going to win, the guy’s basically Michael Jordan of MT and has so much more experience. But this kid is special, every time he gets knocked down he just gets up and charges back in. So many seasoned fighters are intimidated by Saenchai and ends up running away half the match. Carry on training and the future is bright.

Saenchai is definitely a legend. But sometimes these fights are boring to watch. They throw a few punches/elbows, maybe a kick--- clinch then go to the ground--- stand back up then start over. At this level these guys are too good. So they dont take very many risks.
I never thought about that. It is completely logical when you think about it. when one of this professional thai fighters go to a mma gym they be whooping ass in stand up. it is amazing when you see the things they can do striking

I don't think the announcers were watching the same fight as us. Massaro did about as good as any fighter could against Saenchai that night.. 3 rounds is one thing, but a full action packed 5 rounds against one of the greatest - that's courage. I was amazed that he had so much stamina and venom in his strikes all 5 rounds. He's the best ambassador of Muay Thai all over the world. He's why I saw my first MT match. And I'm a huge fan of all of the different promotions now streaming full MT 5 fight 3 x 3 minute rounds, with limited clinch. Thai Fight has a stable of the most amazing Thai's of the highest level. These guys land spectacular techniques and finish opponents, like you only see in movies.

Commentators are obviously not fighters, they have no idea what they are really watching. I find it best to watch their shows with little or no sound.
PK doesn't really try to hurt his opponents very often especially when he is way better. Reminds me of a cat, just wants to keep playing until the thing gives up and dies.

Of course it does Max. You don't wanna throw a kick because you're afraid he's gonna sweep your back leg, and put your ass on the mat again. It's the same when you have an opponent that has one-punch knock out power.
yup it humiliates your opponent. Thais do it alot and it works in their favour when a fighter is trying to land clean shots, they just sweep them and down they go.
