I think I would almost interpret that as "Yes, I live my life in spite of all those dix." Cuz there's so many levels of what sucks about life. You choose your poison--whether it is drugs, alcohol, sex, overwork, hell, sugar...there's a lot of ways that people kill their issues. Also what a-holes! Killing one will, eventually kill the other, so you're killing 2 separate people who share 1 body.
