Just traded in my 2016 C63s, which was kind of sad, but honestly I’m not regretting it at all. Way better every day driver! You don’t want a high end German car off warranty.
I think you did a great job explaining the Ford ST really makes me want one I've been a Ford man all of my life and love ford vehicle to me nobody makes better vehicles then Ford way more bang for your buck again great job you are very knowledgeable great review
Thank you for this video. I just purchase the 2020 Explorer ST and LOVE IT! I came from a Mustang Cobra to a 2013 Explorer XLT to my current 2020 Explorer ST. This beast is the Mustang of SU V’s!
Refreshing to see a well researched video that goes beyond the surface level info. Do you know if the auto start stop feature can be permanently disabled/remember the last selected position?
I would like to see what Magnaflow will come out with exhaust, and K&N will come out with cold air intake and see what extra HP they can find . I will be selling the 2016 GT Mustang and picking one up maybe 2021
I'm glad Ford put the gas cap on the correct side. All cars sold in America should have it on the driver's side. Now, my only complaint about the gas cap is that the gas door is not lockable. Someone can ruin your super expensive Explorer in just a few seconds.
A performance vehicle review. Without reviewing the performance. Your other videos are great, but I feel like we missed the main selling point of the vehicle here.
Saludos y felicidades.
@@dragon0361 Tell that to the 1000's of people who won a class action lawsuit in 2012 for that exact issue. There excuse for mine was contamination in the paint booth for the hoods and a batch got out. Mine happend to be one of them. Google it and you can see its a big issue with explorers. Hense why the warranty runs out at 60k. They don't even inform techs to look for it when you have it in for service. Never buy another ford. Wish you luck. Keep washing that turd. Seems strange of all the vehicles ive had the explorer was the only one to have the paint bubble and flake off.
That's why Ford is number one nobody has the technology that Ford has and for less than half of this foreign garbage Ford makes the best vehicles on the planet hands down foreign or domestic
I've been watching Explorer ST reviews for days. Some reviewers said that the captain seat will be standard in ST variant and the bench seat will be optional.
Oh. I know you're reffering to the Ford's website. I already visited the site as well weeks ago.. That maybe confusing to the customers without any clarification whether there will be an optional bench seat or captain seat only in ST variants. Sorry, man. The reviewers in RUclips are only my basis to answer your question since nobody's still answering you..
I know on the ford .ca website the st has the option for the bench. However on USA ford.com website only platinum models has the bench option. I’m located in Canada and was watching so many st videos on RUclips and couldn’t figure out why no bench was ever being mentioned Or shown.
I see the ST Street Pack and Track Pack on the Ford website. Is what your calling the Performance Pack really the Track Pack? And that only gives you bigger police brake pads dealer installed?
Long McArthur Thank you for the reply. I was just curious, take a look at page 11 of the Ford proprietary build sheet, it says; ST Track Pack • 21” Aluminum Wheels • High-Performance Brakes • Red Painted Brake Calipers Note: 275/45R21 All-Season (A/S) BSW Tires Note: Not available with ST Street Pack (68S) Note: The High-Performance Brakes are shipped separately for Dealer installation
@@seanjohn7234 That is what I used, I didn't notice the note about being dealer installed. We don't plan to order any with that package unless it is a special order for a customer. I think the ST Street/Track Pack is plenty.
The only thing I am curious about with all these vehicles that have evasive steering...I understand how it will help you steer out of the way of something in front of you, but I worry about swerving into oncoming traffic. It can’t predict what another driver will do. I would probably just turn off that feature. Don’t get me wrong I love a lot of the new technology that is always coming out for safety, but this particular feature scares me. My current vehicle does not have it so maybe it’s something you just need to try out and be comfortable with
Thanks for the response. That makes sense and makes me feel better. This new Explorer is on my short list so all the information you have provided is very helpful
Yea, the badge on front. Interior wears out rather quickly, trim looks it wasn’t quite finished, weird noises/rattling from the rear. Sound system just is just weird.
That "auto start/stop" is the biggest piece of garbage to ever come down the pike. I have it on a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and absolutely hate it. For all that wear and tear on your starter and electrical system it'll save you about a nickel's worth of gas. This comment is meant to be no criticism of this video, only the "auto start/stop."
I never warmed up to that ford logo just think its should I say ugly, just way to big and old looking maybe ford needs to use a different font.other than that a beautiful vehicle.
I 100% agree with you. We just bought 2019 expedition Stealth. The car look great but the ford front logo is fucking everything up. Ford need to change the logo.
HellBoy To get the X5 with comparable horse power you need the 50i, that puts you at 456HP. The 40i only puts you at 335HP. Then add all the comparable options and your looking at $80k. If the $20k is no big deal then I guess it doesn’t matter. But in my opinion the ST looks hotter than the X5. I’m going with a loaded ST.
Sean John the only issue with your math there is that Ford is estimating 5.5s to 60mph....the X5 can achieve that in the 40i (smaller engine), in fact it is likely a tad faster @5.3s....weight plays a huge role here. The 50i is a true sports car!! 0-60 in 4.6s!
A Stanton1966 irrelevant to me....I lease my vehicles - the BMW would be in fact cheaper to maintain, since all scheduled services are included in the price for the warranty period.
Leasing is the worse way to go--the dealers love it. You pay for both the depreciation of the vehicle as well as the administrative fees to rent the vehicle.
Picking up mine tomorrow.... So many extra's told about this beast it's going to be amazing...!!!!!

Locks only keep honest people out.
There are 2 flaps inside so you can't put anything in it without a special funnel that comes with the vehicle
Thanks! Didn't know that.
Are you sure it doesn’t lock when you lock the rest of the vehicle?
Ford should make the moonroof standard.
Along with Brembo brakes, plain painted calipers look cheesy.
Good review but how can you review a performance vehicle without driving it?
Great video. Just don't like the big touch screen .

Question. Can I order a bench second row on the ST?

Edward Rodavia yes but when you go to build one there’s no option for the bench second row

The order guide calls it performance package, it would be the same as the track pack probably. And it would be factory installed not dealer installed.
