    There are other options for a lot of these challenges. Bed shaker alarms (yes, some tie into smoke detectors). Doorbell flashers, baby cry flashing alarms and so on. Hearing aids are a tool to help; sometimes we need a few more tools.

    I think the biggest flaw of hearing aids is that they cannot prevent your hearing loss from getting worse and thanks to that you're always living in fear of losing what little of natural hearing you have left in your ears.

    • @titodkr

      It is because hearing is naturally lost through aging. Like the rest of your body, your capacity of near vision worsen around 40 years old (beginning of presbyopia) it is the same with hearing. There is presbyacousis appearing.

    I hate the way my aids feel in my ears. I have CIC and tried the behind the ear and that was worse. I also get chronic ear infections from them just from having plastic occluding the ear canal. Especially in warmer weather. I look forward to the cure. I was so hopeful when Frequency Therapeutics 1st trial was successful.

    My problem with hearing aides is: they amplify everything. I don't need to hear the toilet flush in the next room, or my manager shuffling papers---I need to hear the person standing in front of me speaking to me. Why can't hearing aides be tuned to amplify and clarify human voices over other sounds if selected on the aide itself or in an app?

    • @Goldfire1000
      @Goldfire1000 Год назад +5

      The problem is to tell apart the sound of voices and the sound of the rest of your environment. Even if your hearing aid can tell them apart, if it would attempt to just cut out every thing else it would sound even worse for you because of sound artifacts that would remain.
      By the by people without hearing loss have to hear all of that noise too but their brain is filtering away most of it because they are used to it.
      Wearing your hearing aid every day most of the day and getting used to noise is the best way to improve your experience in noise situations. And this getting used to takes time.. as much time as you have given your brain to adjust to not hearing noise because you had an untreated hearing loss.

    • @richa.s9912
      @richa.s9912 Год назад +3

      Yes " Goldfire1000 is correct 💯," If you haven't been wearing your own hearing Aides as soon as you notice that your own hearing loss develop early as a small kid and you are a adult living without any treatment for having a good hearing Aides then you just have to keep on wearing your hearing Aides as long as possible to redeveloped to rewire your own hearing inside your inner ear and your computer brain 🧠 can interpret whatever sounds you can hear . Please wear your own hearing Aides to retrain your brain 🧠 to accept whatever sounds you are hearing . I have had deaf classmates in my public highschool who just came from overseas countries of Vietnam didn't know she was deaf until my public schools and deaf schools provided a new hearing Aides for kids free as well as I have been in my public schools kindergarten through public highschool and college until I graduated from my highschool and gotten a lot of jobs by myself . Well my deaf classmates who was from Vietnam overseas countries found out she and her younger brother can hear Soo much better since overseas countries never had any health care and no deaf schools and no hearing aides center Professional Audiologist AuD Doctors and Hearing Aides dealership over there so in Oregon my public schools and deaf schools does give out free hearing Aides so parents and family and guardian don't have to pay thousands and thousands dollars for 2 hearing Aides as long as kids are in public schools and deaf schools and colleges and universities . And that was in 1980 when my classmates have been wearing hearing Aides and going through Hearing and Speech Therapy and sign Language interpreter to train deaf people and me hard of hearing kids to learning about how to talk and learning how to recognize what sounds in big city and outside in forest and inside the public schools and it takes time to understand what is going on . Your own Professional Audiologist AuD Doctors and Hearing Aides dealership should be helping you out with your problems as I have been growing up as a kid into adulthood knowing what the different types of hearing Aides are in old analog hearing Aides to digital hearing Aides . The biggest flaw is the occlusion effect. Hearing aids are essentially vanity devices, necessitating a speaker within about an inch from a microphone. Read: Feedback city. (If microphone and speaker were separated feedback wouldn't be an issue). So, manufacturers seal the ear canal with tight fitting tips and tell the wearer they have to get used to feeling like their fingers are in their ears while talking - all to prevent feedback and allow compact device configuration. We need a video specifically on the occlusion effect and how to avoid sealed hearing aid designs without suffering feedback.

    And telling people about all the upsides of one specific hearing aid and not even mention the downsides of the product makes you look like just another commercial. I really like your videos at least what i have seen so far, but telling everybody basically "hey this hearing aid is a one of a kind superior hearing aid" and not telling them that this HA is not even in the picture for most of the people. Because you have to have a very specific hearing loss and enough space in your ear canal so that the lyric can be applied to you.
    I really hoped that when you advertise the lyric you'd mention the downside of it as well.

I have 75% hearing loss both ears and born Premature baby 3 months too early . And my first hearing aids was a tiny spy radio listening device of a 1 AAA battery listening device small box wearing in the shirt pocket of one wired mono analog no stereo ear plug and yes as a teenager I even tried a Texas Longhorns horn hearing Aides way way too big for me to carry just to hear LOL 😂

      Ok I'll tell you about not being able to hear my microwave heater for a very very long time using only my old analog hearing Aides and switching to my new Phonaks Audeo Life Waterproof sweating proof hearing Aides and not being able to hear my full face clock tick-tock and I didn't realize that me walking around in my hallway hearing each creeking sounds of rubbing woods floor beneath the carpet floor to the basement and it does sound like a haunted house from the horror movie 😂 lol So now I really know that in the Gulf War military army should be very very quiet when sneaking around looking for enemies to stop shooting according to my video army games and as well as army military movies on T.V. shows.

    We’re you a used car salesman or work on those horrible shopping networks? I’m sorry you do not come across as authentic at all, just a guy trying to make a fast buck! 😵‍💫

      Are you making that assessment after watching only one of my videos?

    At 6:03 you say that "If you want to hear 24 hours a day, you can do it too".... Respectfully, as you give an example of doctors or nurses needing this extended hearing capability, great, "they" may be able to afford it, but, users will spend 250 to 350 dollars a month to enjoy these benefits. You will say that you cannot "put a price on hearing", which may be correct, but, for that kind of cash outlay, these aids are basically reserved for people that have money to burn.... ALL of your other videos have been beneficial to a lot of people and this is ONE video that will ONLY benefit the "rich"....
