- This video I will show you a new twist to the plain granny triangle shawl, we will using the loop cluster stitch to fill the holes left by a traditional granny shawl for a warmer beautiful shawl. Premier (3) Light weight Garden yarn was used for amazing color. Shawl measures 62 inches across by 28 inches from top to bottom point.

Thank you for this pattern Glenda, I am making this as part of grand daughters Christmas box. We do love our shawls in the West of Ireland, our winters are rather wild and cold. Your yarn is so pretty but not available in Ireland, but I did find something similar. Working in the extra picot loops is definitely making a warmer shawl. Thank you also for your tutorials, they are so clear and concise that the finished items are perfect.

I've always loved shawls. I'm going to do it in color selection on a small kitchen rug that my cat Squeeks first sat on after I had brought him home from the local animal adoption center. Its got some beautiful shades.

OMG...what a FUN stitch this is! It's amazing how a simple variation can do wonders to your work. I absolutely love this!! I know we all get bored of the same ole double crochets but, Glenda, have to hand it to you, you've made them EXCITING again with your little cluster!! Been working on this for the past 20 minutes and am loving the texture. I do have some of that Garden yarn but am trying it with a roving yarn and it's working very nicely :) Thank you, CG!!!

yes you can I would bump up to a size I-9 hook for (4) weight, shawl will be slightly larger.
