No. I don't have mine, but that's only because my mate "borrowed" my copy and never gave it back the cheeky son of a... 🤣 Oh well, it was a good excuse to buy the Blu-Ray, the DVD is cropped to 1.85:1 so the framing of the shots are compromised albeit slightly improved in some places and watchable regardless. Still, I'd rather watch it the way it was meant to be watched, although to really do that, I'd have to buy the VHS or Laserdisc, they've not restored the very end of Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2 since those releases in the mid 90's which is highly frustrating as a fan!
The new version of IT is straight garbage typical New line cinema jump scare junk. Tim Curry’s pennywise is both believable and absolutely terrifying nothing beats the miniseries except the book
I liked the first film, I wasn't keen on the second one at all. I know it's nostalgia talking to a certain extent, but I much prefer the miniseries and Tim Curry as Pennywise, who as you say, is far more believable than Skarsgard. The mere idea that anyone would approach that thing in the remake, let alone a child, is frankly baffling and a bit of a design flaw, the new Pennywise looked too intentionally scary, Curry was dressed ordinary and played it ordinary... until he didn't. That was truly what made him creepy!
I don't think so... IT from book Is scary, but movie version not too much. But yes, new IT is more better and scarier, because 2017 and 2019 is an accurate book adaptation.

The original film is a toned down, stripped down version of the plot, but it follows the basic structure of the plot much more faithfully than both of the new films, which deviated in some very strange and silly ways. Obviously it is missing a lot of the key locations from the book like 27 Neibolt Street etc in favour of the kids only confronting It in the sewers and quite a few of the secondary characters are gone in their entirety, but I'd say its more faithful on the whole by a wide margin.
