I need to find some good repacks too. I like them for content and fun. Everyone knows you’re not gonna win consistently but after getting hammered on absolute and Prizm ROI consistently it makes these look more rewarding. Ceiling not as high but your a lot more likely to get at least 50% back from the looks of it than any recent panini release 🤷♂️
exactly my point! and of course with these, just like any product, you are paying for the packaging and the time and effort they are putting into making a product like this. It was a fun rip at a solid price I think i would do these again.
If you set up at a sports card show and you put all of the cards from this video on the table for sale and marked them at the current fair market value, how many of these cards would actually sell? Would there be at least one collector looking for anything in this video? I think the only cards with a chance to sell would be that red ice Tua you got and the Prizm Silver PSA 10 Dak. Everything else would eventually go into your $20 slab box on your table and the first person to offer $15 for each you would sell. I'm not a fan of the repack sports card product, it's just a way for companies to dump cards that they can't sell.
i honestly disagree. value slabs definitely have their place in the hobby and just because they arent valuable to you doesnt mean they wont be to someone else. but i definitely see youre point
Tbh i kinda agree with him on this no one is actually actively searching for any of these cards outside the dak and tua card the rest are kinda trash cards @AcmePacks
If done right, it can be fun, especially if you're looking to just collect random cards for a cheap price. It's really up to us to eliminate the bad repacks though and call them out and help the good repackers to a brighter light. It's the best way to make bad repackers lose money until they do better or just stop.
Loved this video! It's great for people like me who struggle to get access to retail boxes. Would love to see a post edit clip at the end of the video just adding your reaction once you know the more precise values!! Keep up the great work 💚💛🇮🇪🤟🏻
I guess if I was to buy a repack I would do some research on who is putting it out. There are so many fly by night cash grabbers out there taking advantage of the hobby.
Very true. Very very true. There are also some good ones though. I have experience with Never Lewz and their Project Enigma line. I have purchased and got into breaks for their Yetis, Krakens, and their new Legends line, and overall, I have been extremely pleased.
If repacks are hot with Backyard Breaks, and they aren’t coming out of loaded boxes, I avoid them. Also I can make a new company in 20 minutes. It’s very easy to make a bad product, sell it once or twice, and change your company.
its easy to make a bad product but people take notice quickly thats why the good ones stick around. I noticed these boxes sell out quickly which means people must like them
I agree maybe not 20 minutes lol but with the right marketing and sales pitches nice custom boxes I can easily see how being cool will fill companies pockets just as well till the next cool product comes out
Love your variety of content! You should figure out a way to implement re-packs into a break. I'm not sure if it could be done or how, but I'd hop in one.
I found that place (chasing the hobby) like a few months ago. Every time I try to get the high end boxes they are always sold out. Goes to show how much people like this company
Thanks for the rip! I always ask myself if I would spend the money of the box on the card inside usually it’s no! But still better than todays retail boxes
Was a fun different break. I bought two prizm blasters and did quite well. A Cj Stroud silver premier jersey card, base puka nacua and a disco of bijan
I like repacks because it provides competition on the secondary market. You can sell your stuff at a show and get 90%+ comps rather than 70% lowball offers.
I was wondering the exact same thing with the floor/average/ceiling of these repacks. Like the warmup one you said the floor=$40, average=$50, ceiling=$200. I didn’t hear if you said there was a total number of each price level made. But if there was 100 warmup level options made (just for an example) is there only like 1 or 2 ceiling boxes, 10 land somewhere between the average and the ceiling, 60 boxes hit the average and around 30 of them are the floor. So your chances of hitting the floor or average is like 90%
At the end of the day, you’re almost guaranteed to do better if you keep buying these than sealed right now. The amount of times I’ve bought 4-5 blasters or one hobby box and the best value is a $10 card is too often.
I’m not mad at it at all but I do believe the “chase” is more gaslighting than fact. A good value comparable to a hobby box for the most parts. They seem to be comped by a Beckett magazine more than real comps when they packaged them. Great presentation. Overall 7.9-8.5 imo
i think thats a very fair rating. The "chase" cards were my biggest gripe about this. in my mind a chase card is something that far exceeds the value of what you paid for and not just a cool looking card lol
Well the "loss" on these was a lot less than opening most Panini boxes for sure.........pretty good overall. I've also opened quite a bit of Hit Parade from Dave+Adam's and they are pretty good but they're cheapest version is like $130/box and when I buy a case of 10 boxes I usually get like 5 or 6 cards that are only $50-60 cards. People seem to believe you're doing well these days if you make around 1/2 your money back on anything so these met that threshold.
I don't really know what to think about repacks, they are interesting but it seems more likely that people are just happy taking minimal losses when it comes to cards, ceiling doesn't seem that high and the floor isn't too low, its sort of like you know that you are going to lose but you are ok because you won't get totally skunked
im fine with repacks but yeah i totally agree with you these were definitely fun but still not as cost effective as just buying singles. but just like regular boxes you are paying extra to have that thrill of the chase
These were definitely not bad, and definitely a better value than Absolute at $700. I’d say maybe it makes sense to go to repacks during times like now when box prices make zero sense. Otherwise, I’d prefer to rip.
in my opinion repacks only gained traction with box prices being what they are in the current state of the hobby. it was a fun rip and i got a bunch of cards I wouldnt normally look at getting
Great rip and review! Their chase cards weren't great tbh. I would prefer a chance at a $1000 card per say if I'm spending $200 and have the floor be a little lower, but I'm a gambler at heart. The Value in these is fine but they are someone else's random stuff they don't want/need. For $700 you could have got some real nice Packers autos🤷♂️ Go Pack Go!👊🍻
But if everyone buys singles and noone rips then there will be no singles left 😅 but yes i agree if you are trying to collect affordably just buy the cards you want
My thoughts repacks are algorithm ways to rehash collections that have been sitting around.. seems like another hustle . scammers come in many shapes and forms..Good luck tho..
They’re probably better than panini hobby boxes based on Average ROI. Obviously you can’t go into them expecting to make money. I’d say not too bad considering the wide variety of somewhat sought after players you can pull
i made 80% of my purchase price back and i got 2 below average black boxes which is what made me go negative. not a bad product at all when you could open a box of absolute and get $150 back for the same price.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt that the football market does rapidly change and the prizm silver dak was worth $250 in mid december so if he had made a playoff run it wouldve been a lot more
Honestly i have gotten smoked worse on repacks than panini hobby. About even on hobby boxes other than two fotl contenders i bought....never again on contenders, only singles or breaks to hunt rookie ticket autos.
i have the same thoughts on contenders haha and this year is going to be terrible. A product that is centered around rookie autos without 3 of the top autos to pull. I will not be touching that with a 10' pole
Basically nobody would buy the cards you get out of these otherwise. Well I can’t wait to get my videos edited to show my mystery box. 50 boxes total with a chance at Steph Curry Rookie Ticket, Kobe Game Worn Patch On Card Auto/25, Lebron SSP Auto, Steph Curry Triple RC Auto /49, BGS 9.5/10 KD RC Auto, and more thats 10% chance you get one of those cards but hey erybody would rather buy a Donruss Basketball for $300 to get an undrafted FA RC Auto 🤣

Repacks are no good for 9/10 people in every case. 90% chance to start with a loss. If you're not interested in opening hobby boxes, great but don't expect a hit worth your money most times
Great rundown on these - seems that they have reported their floor value a little high, but overall pretty decent value. IMO there should be a concrete checklist available like RGL does. Without that it is very hard to actually know what the percentage of lower end cards to actual hits really is.
Nice review! Fun rip! I personally would have a problem with receiving 2 cards in a pack with one of them being a PSA 8, just to bump the value up to the “floor.” Most people rip packs to review products/pc their favorite players. With the extremely low possibility of hitting a PC Card in these packs, receiving a PSA 8 of a card you do not necessarily want makes it difficult to resell to recoup some of the money spent on said packs. Otherwise, looks like fun!
@@tonywarner4056 thats exactly what i was thinking. The dake silver was going for $250 about a month ago before the playoffs so i really cant blame them. Gotta keep that in perspective as well

I think more people should really consider doing things like that because you can get some great cards that you actually want and pay a fair price for them.
@@RyanOnTheInternet thats great feedback! I never knew if people liked those types of videos or not so thank you for that!
