In September of 2022, we set across the Rocky Mountains on a 2500 Mile Road Trip visiting & fishing with local Fly Shops. Our Mission? To highlight small businesses that drive the sport we love: Fly Fishing! Along the way, we got a chance to host meetups in every state - all with the goal to raise money for local conservation organizations & meet some of our fans.
Follow us as we tell the story of 12 unique fly shops, fish the waters surrounding their area, and make our way throughout the Rocky Mountains.

I love how the fly fish food guys were goofy compared to all the other owners haha

I remember my first time in the shop. I’m checking out and by the cash register is a cup of flies. I go “what’s special about these guys?” Curtis looks at me and goes “those are what the fish are biting on right now” and in that moment I chuckled thinking he was kidding. No way you just give the secretes away like that. With such casual confidence and straight forwardness. I remember saying something like “what do you mean?” And he goes “I mean if you fish that fly tonight you will catch fish” HA! So I buy two. And wouldn’t you believe right as the sky got orange and pink that evening I tied it on and had a bent rod all the way back to the truck.
These guys really care. And their business model shows.
Epic story! We loved fishing with those guys. They are dialed.

I love the Fly Fish Food guys. Ive learned a ton from their youtube. Now that Ive gotten more into tying, Ive taken a lot of their patterns and modified them for my waters.
We can confirm, their flies catch fish
So what is next? As a Brit I can tell you that what you have over there is truly special, and it’s wonderful to see such a community of anglers😎I think I’ll sit and watch the series again right now.🍻

Pretty cool idea to put this together and actually make it happen. I followed the series and found it not only entertaining but very informative . The only shop I have not been to that you featured was the Fish Food shop in Utah , although I do follow them on RUclips I just haven’t been by there place . Thanks for taking us on your journey it was a fun trip . Until next time .
