44 pro baseball gloves are known for being the cheapest custom gloves on the market. I actually have about 10 44's myself. Their gloves are great for the price, but are they worth you buying? My simple answer is yes and in this video I show you everything I have learned from 44's gloves. Each one of my gloves has a different special feature on it that makes it stand out from the last. I enjoy doing this because it allows me to slowly try every new feature that 44 offers. The only problem is that 44 has continued to come out with new features and is making it so hard for me to keep up with! In my opinion that's a good problem to have though.
So 44 Pro Gloves are awesome gloves but they are not perfect. In the end if you want the best gloves possible it is simply going to come from on e of the established major brands like Rawlings, Wlison, Mizuno etc.44 has simply changed the game by offering a custom baseball glove for under $200 dollars whereas other companies sell theirs for $350 or even $450. - Спорт

The b roll of you playing catch with the gloves was really helpful, nice touch. Love your vids Chris
Thanks for the feedback!
always a great day to see when you post man
ordered one a month ago with the intentions of having it for christmas, but gave myself allowance of about a month and a half just incase something made me unhappy and i had to send it back. very happy with the outcome, although the flag stamp on the thumb is a bit hard to see with printed leather. definitely recommend if you have a creative mind and want a medium priced glove
That’s great to hear!
I just bought a 44 glove yesterday it's going to be my first leather glove,I can't wait to get it in 4 to 6 weeks
I also have a 44 12". I love it. Pretty well made custom glove at a decent price.
I think 180 is a great price for a custom glove that is hand made
@@drpzfn225 not including when they go on sale so its an even better deal
@@jayzgaming9182 oh yeah good point but I’m not sure if u saw they raised there prices

i tell you no lie 44 was my first ever custom glove and my friends first custom glove and i fell in love with the company ever since to this day i still buy and use 44 more than any other company

Thanks to this and your break in videos I’m about to order one for slow pitch, my first new glove in 17 years, Thanks for the videos!
No problem!
Just so you know quality is not great. I just got mine and I'm not thrilled
@@Apo529 I'm looking at a 44 glove myself, what exactly were you not thrilled about quality wise? Would i be better off buying an off the shelf wilson or rawlings for the same money?
@@jeremy12ga26 Love rawlings Heart of the hide. I'll never get a glove off the shelf because everyone's hands/them squeezing. It also depends on what type of a 44 glove you get. They also have cheap laces
Thanks for info on where to get a good quality 44 glove at a discount. Great vid also. I subscribed.
I ordered a 574 model from 44 a few weeks ago. It's almost all blonde, can't wait for it to arrive.
I loved the air flow wrist liner on my A2K so I’ve gotten that on both of my 44’s
I think I like fur just cause it’s a more classic look, in reality I think the other style makes more sense
@@ballgloveking yeah I think that makes sense. I think my main reason is that it’s so hot all the time during softball season so my hand just sweats a ton in my glove. Then the fur just starts to get pretty gross
This is crazy! My Rawlings was $45 in 1990. Still in great shape and fantastic build quality.

That’s awesome man!
they worth it? thinking about getting one
@@connorsalvatori1721 did you watch the vid?
bro got one too because of him
I regret it. U can go walmart for the same glove for $30
I think 44 is perfect for pitchers, a good way to express yourself with a custom look, but you aren’t to hindered by the quality, because you aren’t consistently making plays with the glove.
I actually really like the colors you have for your 574 glove, ordering my own 574 glove with the same colors but a little more purple.
What model was your slow pitch softball glove? Love the dual welting and dual post web.
Good stuff as always 👍. Btw, who was throwing you those balls in the vid? They were all on the money!
This insignificant guy I know, doesn’t really matter
Jk I couldn’t make such a banger without you, THANK YOU SIR
Now I know what gloves imma buy
I have a Japan Select and it also came super loose. I think just because that's how Japanese players prefer their gloves. TK Ishihara discusses this in one of his videos.
That’s actually great info thanks!
Stephengroot, was the Japan Select worth it? What were the positives and negatives with that glove and do you recommended it because I'm thinking about buying the Japan Select 44 glove.
Thanks man now I don’t need to worry about a expensive glove
I'm glad they improved their leather over time! I have one from when they were a newer company and it's fine, but no where near the level they seem to now be!
They are infinitely better!!
Still quality not great
Watched the whole thing because I was hoping you'd show the single hole closed back model. But thanks for your honest reviews of the leather.
914 ball gloves has a 44 with the single hole closed back model it’s all blue
I missed your glove videos!
Or not hehehehe 🤭
I just bought one this will be my first brand new glove since I was 7
Awesome video and details!
what model is the glove with the obsidian? I'm trying to recreate it but I don't know which model that is.
I love the work too man, keep it up, been following for a while and just love to rewatch your old videos
thanks for watching man!!
It is the normal 44 pro model
good tip, always get softball 1B mitts, and if you plan on using it in only baseball just get the smallest size and the basic web as its almost fully closed
I just got my 1st b glove. Quality not good
@@Apo529, what kinds of leather did you get on it?
I had one waiting in my cart, just went ahead and ordered a 12.25 Pro model. I play a lot of infield, usually SS or third, and have been using a $40 Rawlings leather glove for the last few years. It's held up well but I wanted to treat myself.
Attaway it’ll totally be worth it!
Is a 12.25 glove good for third? I just ordered a 44 and also got a 12.25 and am currently using a 12.5 at third, kinda big Ik but I don’t mind it, I’ve heard that I should use a 11.5-12 at third
If you’re talking about baseball then yes 12.25” is big but great for third if that’s what you like
I would still use the Rawlings.
@MIGGYꪜ nobody told them to get a 12.5 lol they said they use a 12.5

Hey man so I got a blonde snake skin and green 44 u should get a green glove because I’ve seen the textures be different then other colors
I dig the videos. I was lookin into getting a 44, but have u seen the leather they offer with the little 44 logos in it, does it look ok?
If you’re talking about the one with the 44 logo all over the leather then you don’t need to worry. It’s simply a print so the leather is not different than anything else it just has a heat stamp on it for the 44 logos
Because I grew up in the '60s, I thought I'd share a good laugh with you guys. My first glove cost me all of. . $5. That's right, sports fans. It was an "Al Kaline" black model. Not even sure who made it. I paid 50 cents a week on a payment plan from Western Auto. Our little town didn't even have a sporting goods store. I loved that glove and used it until I got to HS. I played college ball and a couple of years in A ball, then later continued to play amateur baseball until I was 50. My "go to" glove was the Wilson A2000. I know it cost under $75. A couple of years back, for fun, I was walking through the glove dept at Dicks Sporting Goods. Picked up a Wilson A2000. Price. .$325. I just held it on my hand. Now I know what it feels like wearing something "gold". The times have changed things for sure. Oh, btw, while some around me still used mules to plow their cornfields when I grew up, I'm happy to say that cars DID use gasoline.
Love this, thank you for sharing!!
@@ballgloveking Glad you enjoyed it. I share your appreciation for a good ball glove. I don't have to apologize about being a "fossil" because I am one but it's true, the baseball glove often plays pivotal roles in life. Many a father started his kid out with a good "catch". In the movie "Field of Dreams", the scene involving Kevin Costner being able to have a catch with his father who "comes back to life" is one of the most powerful ever. It makes the movie complete and solidifies the link between father and son using an item most every little boy gets. . a baseball glove. In time, I hope you have a couple of sons. With your cache of gloves, you'll need "catchers" to use them all. Keep 'em oiled.
Fire vid like always
Hello Chris , this video is awesome!
Could u recommend which 44gloves is deep pocket and light weight?
I’d go with the 574 model, it isn’t necessarily a light model but it isn’t heavy. It does have a deep pocket though
@@ballgloveking
How about jp11 or jp select ?
@@user-jq3hy7kl9u The Japanese models are light but shallow pockets. My last 44 was a Japan Select 11.5 and it's great for middle infielders. Also surprisingly loud when catching w/it. I wouldn't want to take a fastball to the palm though.
i have a 10.5 inch rawlings and a 11.5 inch wilson. just took them both to a place called glovesmith to have them relaced. they are older gloves. but they are both made from good leather.
I use a Wilson a2k mb50 and a custom a2000 first base mit and I love them but I was looking into 44 but shipping is forever. Thanks for the hookup.
👌🏻👌🏻
Shipping makes sense due to it having to be hand crafted to a customers liking. 44 is also only custom gloves and they don’t have any pre made to sell and ship immediately
Have you noticed the 574 model not being the size advertised? I have a pro 44 and a 574 both supposedly 12 3/4". The 574 feels way better on my hand, but is also 3/4" shorter than they claim. They said it's supposed to be that way, but my pro 44 is exactly 12 3/4" and the 574 is 12" when taking standard measurement.
Love the channel. I was wondering what you think about 44 VS Rico youth glove. My son has a A2000 11.25 Pedroia fit now and he loves it. I am looking for a quality gloves for when he plays the outfield 11.75. I already looked into Rawlings and Wilson gloves in that size for youth players, and they don’t have any, so I was thinking about going with the 44 or Rico. Thanks.
Purchased a 44 Glove, a size 11 for a young player. Have worked on it for hours and hours, little to no improvement. I can't recommend this glove, the price was attractive, and the website worked well, it just won't loosen up. I purchased an R9 Rawlings 11.25 at the same time, broke in perfectly with reasonable attention. My 44 is a great looking glove that will never see the ball field.
Love the last one
Hey great vid. What color is the webbing on your blonde pro44 gamer from last year? Also when you order do you order it stiff? Thanks keep up with the content!!
It’s navy but it faded cus he hit watered it, He got it pro stiff, he has a vid on it! Also, he got dual welting to make it stiffer.
@@aaronurtez4805 damn I almost ordered the teal. Thanks for answering
Props for the romans 8:31 🤙🙏
what size do you have for your slow pitch or can you recommend a size? I play 2nd and outfield so looking for an all around utility glove that has a deep pocket but won't get in the way. Thanks in advance great videos!
I’d go with 12.5 or even 12.75 if your comfortable with a glove that big at second. In softball the ball is so big that it doesn’t make a huge difference when it comes to transfers so I’d say you might as well go big and go with something like 12.5”
Love your videos. What glove do you recommend around $200 around 12.5-12.75"? I play middle infield in slow pitch and bought a 12.25" 44 Pro, but it's a bit small.
If I go bigger than 12.25" on 44, it changes into an outfield glove. Does the outfield glove have same shape as the infield?
Love you’re honesty! I want to see you find other small glove companies and compare to your first 44
True, it would be a great way to show what a company is capable of in their near future!
What about titan gloves, can they compare to 44?

Awesome video! So much good info! Do you have any codes for 44? Thank you
Thanks! But I do not sorry
I just ordered a custom Rawlings Pro Preferred last night for $506.00 total. I know Rawlings gloves will stand the test of time, but for $506.00 is really ridiculous especially when you can’t customize everything, the lack of colors and options. Wilson is worse, but they have the custom options people look for. Without tax a custom Wilson is $549.00
Dude I know! A custom A2k comes out around $600 which is absolutely insane! But you’re also right that pro preferred is gonna be amazing
Yeh but u get what u pay for. 44s is equivalent to Walmart
You need to try out Marucci and their CMOD, that $200 on a custom glove is pretty nutty.
I want to soon!
Yo yoo what are the specs on your softball glove? What size did you pick the softball section in the customizer?
Quick question Chris. first off, absolutely love the channel, hope the eye heals well. Anywho, how did you get double welting on your gamer? I don’t see it as an option anywhere on their website. I play outfield for my slow pitch teams and would greatly appreciate the extra stiffness!
So I just came to find out that dual welting is only available on infield models so it can only go up to 12.25”

What your thoughts on the crown tip 44? Pros/cons? I think it's sick looking but, would it be a good option for a 9u SS, or should we go youth model for him
youth model is not a bad idea, but the crown tip is great. There isn't any major positives or negatives with them
I been needing an outfielder glove and this is prob going to be it
Nice!

I have 3 44's. I have used every Glove in the game from Wilson A2000, Rawlings pro preferred-heart of the hide etc. The Best glove quality for the price. These 44's are as good as Wilson and Rawlings and definitely as durable too
How long do they take to come
@@Yurrclipz 5-8 weeks. Honestly very fast and the quality is sick
you should do a review on the 44 ambidextrous signature series glove
Thanks so much for the video. Out of curiosity how do the 44 gloves play in sizing compared to Rawlings and A2000. I play mens softball with a 12” ball and the 13” Bryce Harper HOH felt small for my liking. I also ordered a A2000 13.5 inch (Model 135SS) and it felt about the same size as the Rawlings 13” HOH…small. I wanted something that played about .5 inch bigger than the two gloves mentioned and had a deeper pocket.
Do you think the Pro 44, 13.5 inch, Softball, H-web would suit me well given the info above?
My experience has been that they play true to size so a 13.5” should work and yes the H web is the best web in my opinion!
@@ballgloveking thanks for taking the time to reply!
@@ballgloveking I put an Rawlings H web into a Nokona glove, replacing the basket weave. Franken-glove. Looking forward to trying out a 44 in the near future.
I play slow pitch and am looking for a glove that will be useful at 1st and anywhere around the diamond. Would running a 13 be big enough for first base but also be able to be okay at 2nd or short?
What was the color of the web of the glove with full blonde and dual welting? I couldn’t tell and couldn’t find it on their website. Was it just gray because it looked a little blue? Or was that the navy
Great video like all the others btw
Good question, it’s navy blue and it’s got some major fading from the sun after using it
What you think is the best for short stop and 3rd
So what are you honest thoughts on the Japan select?
What model is the one with the red palm? Not sure if you can get the paml customized any longer
What size do you use for slowpitch softball? And what position do you use it for? I play third and some outfield so I’d like one I could use for both. I was thinking a 13 inch but I’m not sure? Also what model would be best, id like the H web
I used a 13 inch glove for outfield and infield and I have the H web and I like it a lot !
Do you have a review on the 44 Japan select glove?
Hey bud
Looks like you know what your talking about when it comes to gloves
My kid is young 7 years old

I’m debating buying a infielder like glove for outfield I just love the webs and feel of a much smaller glove just feels more secure to me. Everyone thinks I’m stupid for that but it’s my glove I’m gonna pay for it. Yk?
What design is that on your slowpitch gamer glove? And how big did you get it?
STRAIGHT FACTS
Would you say the 11 fits like a Rawlings/Wilson 11.25?
I also got a jp11 and it is rly loose but I just bought a catchers mitt and it is perfect to me
Good!
That's funny that you say that. i have the same glove, and it is loose on me as well and I do not have small hands. I purchased it for the shallow pocket (which I like) and was hoping for a snug fit...but the snug fit is just not there.
I was wondering if you knew if the pro 44 model has open or closed back?
what model do you suggest for slow pitch?
What colors did you use for the first glove
I want to get a catchers mitt since I’m a catcher but is it worth it? Or should I go with a more known brand? I just rlly like the look of these and the customizability for the price.
That’s tough man, in the end it’s just your call, if you can go into a local store like Dick’s you should just look around and see what feels good
@@ballgloveking wow u respond fast haha, yeah I’m set on a a2000 infield glove or 44 catcher
For your glove for slow pitch softball, what shade of blue did you get for the webbing
It’s navy blue, it faded slowly from a ton of use
I’ve bought 3. I like one of them. Definitely don’t go with a c2. I just bought one of those out of curiosity and was very let down. But at $120 I don’t know what I expected. They say the C2 is like a heart of the hide. I have 2 heart of the hides and the c2 isn’t even in the same ball park. The pro customs I have are ok. Not on the level with Wilson a2000 or HOH despite being marketed as good as a pro proffered. If they never compared their gloves to HOH and Pro Proffered I wouldn’t be making those comparisons at all but I am just for you all so you know.
Yeah I haven’t heard great thing on it but I also need to get one for myself soon
I've just gotten my 44 1st base glove. I'm not happy about it because quality sucks n craftsmanship is half ass
What exactly seems low quality and what model did you get, Signature or C2?
Also friendly reminder that they are significantly cheaper and part of the reason is because the gloves are less consistent when it comes to overall perfection. So it’s a great option for those who can’t afford the other more expensive brands. But 44 is not the best glove to get whatsoever
@@ballgloveking craftsmanship and colors is not what it is shown when building ur glove. White is not white, blue is not blue and the embroidery is offset. 😤. I've always used Mizuno for over40 years and from now I'll keep that the same when purchasing another glove.
What brand would you recommend for adults with smaller hands?
I got a croc embossed 1st base mitt and started regretting it before I even got it! I’m almost sure they use their wacky leather for the prints😩
Which 44s do you think would be good for Softball for Outfield position and what size? Needing a new glove.
The pro44 model is great and so is the cb44, id stick to one of those and go somewhere between 13” and 14”
If you want a solid web I’d say an H web is the most dependable web or you could go with a trapeze style web
what are your thoughts on the JP11 compared to the Japan Select? I am a SS/2B and was looking at both of them
Japan select is lighter, so I would get the js
