      Greek song from Bulgaria???
      Are you trolling us?
First, it is not only from Romylia and Northern Thrace
We also have this song in Eastern Thrace
Second, this song is from Thrace
It is a Greek song from Thrace
      Thracian were and are Greeks
Don’t try to play games with words about Thracians!
You came to our lands before 500 years!
Thracians live in Thrace for more than 5.000 years
And finally, this song is about the pain of Thracians when they forced to leave behind their homelands, because of you!

Hellas, the Mother of Western Civilization, has suffered long from the occupation of her lands by Asian hordes including the Bulgarians in Rumelia; Turks in Anatolia; Slavs in Macedonia; Arabs in the Middle East. I await that glorious morning when without a word, all these interlopers wake up and start that long march back to the Asia from which they came. Let the Slavs and Bulgars return to Central Asia, the Turks to Eastern China, the Arabs back to the deserts of Saudia. Let them take their perfidious Allah home to that black rock around which they pray. Hellas, the bulwark of all Western values, will shed the cloak of Eastern slavery and watch those millions slowing walk home. Good bye Asians! Long live Greater Hellas. Awake O Byzantium. Come back Great Alexander.

Deyan, I have read all your comments and noticed that in general you are within the "lines", educated and civil with out a blind fanatic tendency (which should be the "normal" but it is rare these days. How ever, perhaps as by long years of misinformation (propaganda) you are making a few fundamental historical "mistakes". 1) Bulgars (Bolgars) are not "slaves", not "huns" or "mongols" but not locals either. There are well documented scriptures from the Classic times, the Roman times and the early Eastern Roman Empire and the Byzantine era and there absolutely no point to argue on it. Also, the fact that the Bulgarian language is much more closer to the Russian than the other Slavonic nations adds to it also. It is know who, when and why brought them in the borders of the Byzantine territories, close to the river Dunav as it is called today, where they adopted almost everything -and were educated and learned to dress and live like most -if not all- the people in the Byzantine rural countryside areas. something that even the far away Russians know and feel and respect. The majority -all the large old cities in Bulgaria have Hellenic history, names, etc. and were populated mostly by Thracians and Macedonians, as it was a territory of the Macedonian Kingdom for many centuries. 2) if you take a look at the paintings of the old books as well as in public buildings in Bulgaria you will see about when this "conversion" took place. 3) From all of the above you will also see what were the features - looks of the Bolgars with clean and plain "Asiatic" characteristics, while a lot of the citizens of the modern time Bulgaria have PLAIN HELLENIC (Macedonian and Thracian) body structure and features and you can start from yourself (if the photo of you profile is true). Nothing "Bolgarian" in it. That "mixing" took place for many centuries and there is no point to extend it. We, in the mainland of Hellas, have an "advantage" over most others, because we have 2 and 3 dimensional absolutely accurate as if they were from 2 or 3D scanners, figures of our people for about 3 thousand years (on coins, status and books (when none else had it for thousands of years). The museums all around the world is full of it, especially since all the coast lines in Mediterranean and black sea had on record 2500 cities (meaning more than 30,000 people, some 500,000) not only in the Bulgarian Black Sea front but up to Ukraine, Krimea, Russia, and all Kaukasia and Pontos ... . 3) Another mistake you are making is about the "Pomaks", who probably are as old as the other ancient mountain tribes, the Pomerians, who had the previllage to supply the personal guard of our kings of Macedonia and other leaders. After the battle between Octavios and Mark Anthony in the plain of Philipoi, they went back to the mountains of Rodopi and lost their continuity, their native language -like the Albanian and the Vardaskans, was not written so eventually they were using a mix up of convenience (with Greek, Bulgarian, Turkish , some more, some less according to Geography. They were also one of the "tribes" who converted to Muslims during the Ottoman empire as were many Bulgarians of the "Turkish" minority in south Bulgaria, as are the most Bosnians, some Croatians, some Albanians and Vardaskans. Pomaks remained as a peaceful hard working , hard living population. To conclude, everything flows from the higher, hotter, older source to the lower, colder, younger... Never the opposite. Nationalism and chauvinism are "weak defense lines ... DNA says it all. Not the artificial borders and flags. Best Wishes

Byzantium started as the Eastern-Roman empire. But when the king Iraklios came on the throne, He changed the Roman character of the empire into Greek. The languege of the empire was Greek, the laws were in Greek, the people were talking one to eachother in Greek, and from then to we say that the Roman empire was ''Greeked''. Bulgarians were slavs and Bulgarians. They took some of the north lands from the byzantine empire
at the river of dunavis. The Greeks (Because the kings were Greeks at that specific period of time) thought that they could helped them. So they called their king. THey made him Christian, they made all the bulggarians christians and then they said > Thats what hapen. But once we had STUPID king who made our good relations with the bulgarians bad. He made them to pay a lot of money and things like this so they attacted against our empire (I dont remember when) and they took THE GREEK LANDS WERE WERE LIVING GREEKS. LIKE Macedonia, north thrace, eastern Romilia. THese were Greek lands !! But because the Bulgarians were not very much civilazed they were tough conquers, they were not leaving them to speak greek, they were killing them, they were cutting our tonges and things like these ! Thts why we use ONLY in our songs, who are old, some Bulgarian words. And this music is Greek, it has many characteristics with the ancient Greek music but the conquers copied it !!
