They probably just applied a filter to all sounds during Acheron's ult, and Robin's singing was included in that. They may have noticed it before release and decided to keep it in, but I doubt it was an intentionally considered feature.
I hate it when music plays in a store or restaurant, it makes it so loud I can't understand what anyone is saying, including my family. Because of that, it's hard to communicate with those with me
