Rick, first and foremost, get big vendors for the show floor that have key/good collections for sale. I went to a show recently that had nothing and I was so mad! Please make sure you have good vendors
Hey Tim, welcome back! You were so excited on your first visit. Glad you have calmed down a bit. I would be crazy excited too. Man, you get some crazy finds. Can't find a dang thing in my area. Hope to see you again!
A coffee booth is an actual must! Anytime I go to conventions, I always want a nice coffee to enjoy when walking around and checking everything thing out!
I think for Retrofest it would be great to have a hands on play area with retro toys. Rock em Sock em robots, Skip It, Stretch Armstrong, etc. Similar to having a retro arcade you have a retro toy room!
Attaboy Tim! Honestly, I think the problem with Tim’s last appearance was the bait click title they put on the video. Immediately made Tim look like a bad dude just so they can get clicks
@@6door6four96 he was selling stuff for us and he was going to get a cut of what sold but when he would sell the stuff he never told us that something sold even when I would ask him, and he was keeping all the money and paying his bills. He has still not payed us back. We have even tried to make it easier and just told him to give my laptop back and call it even, because he was wanting to buy it himself but he said he couldn't because he was using it. I even offered him to pay back the money in product if that makes it easier and nothing. So he is a theif and has been sued a couple times for the same thing recently.

Tim is a legend! He has a unique voice (in a good gravelly way), seems to have a great personality and always finds retro gold. It's always good to see what hidden gems he finds.
For Retrofest you should have 2 things 1. A playable retro board game/toy section (Rock'em Sock'em Robot's, Connect 4, Decks of Cards, Guess Who, Operation, Twister, Hot Wheels with a pre built track, RC racing track, Pogs, Pokemon battles ect) 2. A few Tub Tvs that are playing 90's-early 2000's Cartoons/Movies with couches/chairs to sit & watch with snacks/drinks to be bought maybe via vending machines & I know you will have a section for retro games to be played however I think it would be cool to have Rock Band 1 or 2/Guitar Hero 3 & Just Dance (the first one) playable
I would say your Retro Fest would need a retro games contest. Each round involves different systems. The 1st place winner gets a trophy and like a ps5 or something. Second place gets a set of steak sabers. And third place is your fired.....
regarding the convention. have some decent food - from local pizza joints/burger joints. a small stage where somebody is playing video game tunes (no matter if chiptunes or metal versions of soundtracks). and maybe you get some developers from back in the days who can do a small Q&A or give insights from their career. If there are guys with a videogame related podcast - let them hit the stage, with audience participation...
I had some guys autograph my stuff at Portland Retro Game Expo. David Crane, AVGN, Howard Phillips. That was really neat. That's my suggestion. Maybe get some guests in the videogame industry that aren't just RUclips. That might be fun.
For convention stuff, for starters, my con experience has been Pax East, Fan Expo Boston, Rhode Island Comic Con, and Twitch Con. The one with some relevance to the con you are doing would be Pax East. While Pax conventions are typically newer games being shown, they have a lot of booths with retro games. At Pax East they usually have a room of retro consoles for anyone to go play. They sometimes do some sort of challenges, such as speed runs. They also usually have Jack Box games setup for anyone at the con to join in, and someone usually has a Just Dance stage setup as well.
I love playing “what’s that song” when they’re in the store. Heard some Super Adventure Island in there, and it’s like being 10 years old again for a second. 👍
As a person who's attended a con before several times....anime, video games, board games and cards, food, events, books, shirts, plush. I don't know if they still do it but random battle group is always good, not sure if there's any bands for it still but spoony bards was a good video game and anime band. Another thing is you might want to look into getting some vendors who specifically specialize in Japanese merchandise
All I really want at a con is tons of videos game booths with games for sell or trade. Once I’ve seen all the games and booths it’s kinda over. Arcade cabinets are cool for a minute
Wild Bill's Craft Beverages. They sell you a mug and you buy a day or multi-day pass and get unlimited drinks with that pass and mug. You could even do special 'Con-Exclusive' mugs with them. They have a ton of awesome flavors, and a ton of cons I got to use them, and they always have a long line.
He sounds like someone I know. What A person who like to talk a certain way What while drinking a beer What 2 beers what beer 1 what beer 2 what this is what we do what
Two Ideas: 1) NES Speedrun tournament. NES speedrunning is becoming a huge community on Twitch, with speedrun tournaments for SMB3, Zelda, Zelda 2, Ninja Gaiden and more 2) Have three cool prizes as "golden tickets" that are spread out to three random games at vendor booths throughout the show. I.e., if you get lucky and buy the specific game, the vendor will present you with a golden ticket!
I collect light gun games for NES, PS1, XBOX and PS2. Elemental Gearbolt for PS1 and the box for Wild Gunman on NES is what I am missing from my collection.
convention idea: I think you should hire people to dress up like video game characters and do a meet and greet with the kids. or at the very least walk around taking pics with everyone
If you have arcades do a tournament with a prize either cash or collectable with a small entry fee. Make a youtube video about it and that should help offset the cost.
Claudia Wells Was unable to reprise the role of Jennifer Parker, Marty McFly's girlfriend in the sequels to Back to the Future (1985) because her mother had been diagnosed with cancer. That is when Elizabeth Shue (Adventures in Babysitting) took over
I think it would be kinda cool if you somehow completed your NES set before the event (minus Stadium Events) and you displayed it for everyone to see and enjoy 😁

Can we put together what sold this week video series??
It always interesting to see the end result of your fruits of labor. Thank's for Sharing

Haha Yes Tim. He took a lickin' and kept on Tickin' 💪🏼
What did I tell u Tim the last time u were on? Never stop showing up because ur gonna end up being a fan favorite over time.

Hey Timmmay! I'm glad you're blessing us with your presence Bro.
Good to see Minty Tim back. Don’t listen to the haters :) keep hustling

Get Tim to the convention stoned out of his mind to give a lecture on the dangers of over using minty...all kids need to know this.
We love Tim in South Dakota 🍻
Artist Alley, Cosplay Contest, and speakers/special guests. Maybe contests and giveaways at the convention?
A coffee booth is an actual must! Anytime I go to conventions, I always want a nice coffee to enjoy when walking around and checking everything thing out!
We got a Coffee/ Retro game store out here in Denver and it definitely hits! I second this request lol

A retro museum walk threw! To see old toys, video games, technology! An arcade area!
I LOVE Minty Tim! I don’t care WHAT the comments say about him! Magic Michael with those clean carts is soooo satisfying 😋 Great stuff Rickula! 💪👊👊👍
lol he knows what he was doing when he threw the "Minty" comment in there. Love it!
Tim seems like a chill dude, and what a haul, guy’s obviously putting in work 🤟 as an original Xbox collector that box was beautiful
He's not a chill dude he's a theif and a bad reseller! 👎🏻
Info please? How is he a thief?@@trayverse

I can't wait to come visit y'all the first week of July with some real good stuff to trade in
your Retro con should get 80s & 90s Actors and actresses also voice actors of Movies, Tv shows, Video games
Just seems like a good guy. And that’s it
Michael does great work for the store .. and channel! God bless y'all!

Retrofest Arkansas is perfect! my wife were planning on taking a trip that direction for our 5 year wedding anniversary on October 12th anyways.

10:22 great Scott! that shirt is awesome.. I’m a huge back to the future fan so I may have to get over to that website to buy it

Rick, its been too long since i watched your content, because, well, life... You are killing it mate. Well done.
Have maybe carnival games where you can win all sorts of prizes, like video games, plushes or even gift cards to Retro Ricks Game Point.
Good and affordable food, and ofcourse tournaments
Rick also playrd golf in college, so that's a thing. 😂
Seen it so much were people really get bullied the first time they have an internet presence but if they keep going people get nicer to them
The only thing needed for the convention is retro rick oiled up on stage.

Awwwwww snap! Another primo, minty fresh visit from *TIM* !
Back to back pinball and arcade machine wall . Don’t know if there’s that many but would be cool
Yes a video to watch during work. Thanks for releasing this.
Same. I work 12 hour night shifts. I binge these. Videos quite often lol.
You should do a Retro Food booth where people can go and get some food to eat and sit down if possible.
convention idea: I think you should hire people to dress up like video game characters and do a meet and greet with the kids. or at the very least walk around taking pics with everyone
As for who I'd like to see at Retrofest (RUclipsr wise)
- Kit & Krista
- Double Jump Video Games
- JRPGLife
- Nintentalk
You are slowly morphing into Santa before my eyes and it couldn't have happened to a nicer dude.
Haha….Niiice!!! Minty Staples came back
Rick your SHIRT! LOVE IT!!

TIM IS THE MAN!
Minty Tim FTW!
I think it would be kinda cool if you somehow completed your NES set before the event (minus Stadium Events) and you displayed it for everyone to see and enjoy 😁
A Retro Rick channel character Youtuse that you can obtain with a purchase at the convention!
Arkansas is falling off the earth, look at the slant in that floor 😂. Great video
Tim Cold Stone Austin ftw
"They want money or cash for it" .......
Definitely gonna set up a vendor booth at your retro fest can’t wait
A place to give blood/plasma. Blood for Games. What a trade!
Are there still Vendor spots open for Retro Fest?
Minty bangers
Get a tattoo artist at the convention with a ton of retro video game themed flash art!
Id love to see the world of nintendo exhibit at your con!!
TIM IS THE MAN!!
From the top of my head maybe have a cosplayer contest. More than one prize to win. Just a quick thought
The Warriors is in good condition but has rental sticker…..
Is the mig switch available at your store?
Anybody got some Tic Tacs? Cause that box was MINTY!!
I could be part of that convention to show off my mini arcade collection 😮
Oxygen Bar at Retro Fest is a must
Feelgood video as always 👌 How did Michael get those NES-Games in that shape?! 😳
I absolutely love The Warriors game
Some sort of PVP tournament. Maybe mario 3 speedrun contest or streetfighter or something could be cool.
TIMMY MINTY RETURNS!
follow her back dingus
Michael looks like Skeeter from Doug
Welcome Back Timinty 😆
As long as Retro Fest isn't like the Fire Festival you should be good
Do a live action pokemon sketch. Rent professional pokemon costumes and have planned out mock battles for everyone to watch. Like Poke-Broadway.
Tim sounds like Badger from Breaking Bad, lol.
I thank you for making this videos you are a cool person 😎
Why is Riff such a happy guy?
I like Tim
Should add a Chinese food buffet. Kidding. Looking forward to it. Guess I better reserve a hotel room. Seriously though, a buffet would be awesome
8:14… is there something wrong with me or just my man side showing lol
Timmy the professional yapper
Foxhunt is my grail; that game is great. It needs a re-release.
The Goat Minty Tim returns
I’d love to see some @CosplayProWrestling at your convention 👀
