I have the TIdradio TD-H8 in Ham version. But looking into video on RUclips I come to find out that there is a way to unlock it to unlock GMRS, or unlock completely all. What ever that is. I’m new to these radio and learning. But yes doesn’t matter which one you get the Ham or GMRS version your able to unlock either one once you have it. But the not bad thing is of you have frequencies saved on Ham or GMRS. Once you switch to one another you are forced to erase your saved data before switch on over. Going to get me GMRS license soon.

I have both the Radtel rt-470x and the Quansheng uv-k5, they both pick up air traffic. Not great however, a Uniden Bearcat 125 scanner picks up much better with better sound.
