I did well on the mini quiz on numbers, dates, days of the week and time today in class thanks to your videos, you just keep things simple and clear, it works really well, i like that you added in those random numbers to practise them with in the video as well, i have 2 pages full of them now in numeral, pin yin and character forms, it really helped to remember them by practising them that way. ^^

Actually chinese numbers are much easier than french ones for example. But in many other ways, chinese is indeed a very hard language.

Yes, the characters for Kanji is chosen from the Chinese language that has similar meaning in Chinese.

一，二，三，五 have the same number of strokes as the number it represents. Does that help with memorising in any way ?
to me, 五 looks like it has a 5 hidden in it. Just cover up the vertical line to the left, between the bottom two horizontal lines.
