Just hearing the dreaded *WROOOOAAARRR* of those trains going in and out of lanes; fearing whether or not you may get hit by one of them, it was terrifying for me.
Logan: I spotted Mara Aramov in the tunnel. Aramov: Hahahaha. Login: I'm going after her. Suddenly a train cuts logan off and Aramov gets a head start.
It makes me happy that fans of this game are still commenting, all these years later. I wonder for how long? I was a kid in the 90ies....I wonder if fans will comment under Syphon Filter videos somewhere on the internet in 2050s, even if there is no more RUclips? If I am alive by then, I will need to remember to check.
Something I find so amazing, is that while not having played this game, let alone this mission, in yeeears, I suddenly remember precisely what sound the trains make in this map. BRAINS man, how do they work
Poking your head out of cover and headshotting Mara before she turned and ran was cheeky as shit and I'm glad the game gave me the opportunity to do so instead of playing in subway traffic.
there is actually a way to head shot her right out the gait if you are fast enough to get around the corner and aim quickly at her head. did this a lot of times so i never really got to hear the music from this level as it was quickly over. it's sounds epic. I grew up playing this game. It's a shame that this series went away. 1 and 2 are both my favourites (2 because of the insane growth in difficulty compared to the first (Enemies having the chance to instant headshot you and such)... in fact i still haven't beaten the second one only getting as far as the last level where you face the true enemy(not going into spoilers). deleted the save file by accident too so.... i really don't know when I'm going to get back to the series. hopefully soon though. If anyone reads this and hasn't played the 1st game.... i really recommend it. Find a copy, dust off your ps1 and play it. Great fun, a good challenge and excellent music to top it all off... what more can you ask for in a game.

The one thing I never understood about Aramov was her connection to Rhomer and her connection to the agency. Aramov had Mr Hatton killed in the third game and she killed Phagen. No wonder why Logan wanted her dead. She was a loose cannon.
Omega Strain brought in Mihai Niculescu, who it turns out was the true leader/commander behind everything. Mara was a key operative of his who helped pull the strings of everyone, from Markinson to Hadden. She made each of them think that they're hot shit and in charge.
Those trains... Sometimes I would just take out my explosive launcher, I got earlier in the mission, and fail the mission, by blowing up a train. *I still remember where to that explosive launcher pistol, after all these years... I need to play again.*
In the original PS1 trilogy, Logan's Aramov problem started and ended in the subways of DC...

This level used to scare the CRAP out of me -- especially with all the trains passing by.

It is probably my favorite game series. Sony renewed the trademark a few months ago so I'm hoping it makes a comeback.
