Very cool looking airplane....Very cool indeed...But my heart is torn between this one and the super petrel one...Both very gorgeous in their own ways, I guess !!!
About US$358,000 I am out. Cool design, wish them success, safety and good luck. I would rather a C185 or C206 on Anphib floats. Far more useful and 1/3rd the price. The hydrofoils are cool. This lady actually flew it.
I don't see many 185 on amphibious floats in good condition for 120 000. They are also 30 years old. It is a bit pricey for what seems to be a very nice ultralight.
Wow! How much does it cost? I need to know so that I can start putting some of my pocket money aside, so I would like to know how much and for how long I need to save up>
Actually Pratt & Whitney is an American aerospace manufacturer started 93 years ago. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a division of the P&W USA. The parent company is UTC (United Technologies Corp). PT6's are made in Canada but 100% an American Company. USA USA. (Other Divisions Power System, Rocketdyne. Space Propulsion).
l think if pusher type design--propellar gets splash from sea foil --very uncomfortable take off and landing ? flexible sea foil is actually safer than conventional float--during crosswind take off ? and landing --way to go deutchen !!
FEW OF THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS HAS NOT BEEN MADE: 01) - What is the behavior during takeoff and landing in rough seas ? 02) - What is the maximum height of waves that can operate at sea ? 03) - What is the behavior with beam sea ?
I like all the competition in the LSA category. It will produce good safe product at cheaper prices. We have this one The icon a5 MVP.aero in development The SeaRey already selling, numerous videos on that one. the 3 listed are less than half the price than the lisa for the U.S. SeaRey has a track record selling planes for years. MVP.aero has an ex cirrus designer/engineer on board.
A hybrid system would be cool, but the weight limits defined by this classification likely make the idea one for the future, as current hybrid technology (as in automobiles) weighs more than the class permits. Too, such a construction would probably make the plane unflyable in its current configuration.
Okoya is working on a system integrating an oxygen/hydrogen fueled electric motor subsidized by photovoltaic cells on all the upper wing surfaces. It's still in the experimental stage.
Good to hear. The biggest hurdle is that solar has very low in amps. Fuel cells work better for ground vehicles. Jet burning nonpolluting bio fuel in an electric hybrid system is the most practical for high altitudes. We found a way to make them more fuel efficient. We can get 6 hrs from 30 gallons.
Dan's mastery of the metric system is truly impressive !
I know Im pretty off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Jett Dorian I use FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
That landing gear retract sequence is slick.
one of the few new things in aircraft in 30 years gets closer to the flying sub i have dreamed of since i was a kid in the 70s
Bravo Lisa !
Il est tout simplement...magnifique !
Eric
This looks like another take on the 'Seawind'.
Nice aircraft Lisa wishing you great success with marketing it.
THATS GREAT,I SALUTE THIS MASTER PIECE
Beautiful,amazing, ..Beautiful airplane.love it,congratulation!!.
If I am at 3000 feet and have a major failure and have to exit the cockpit, can I open the canopy?
What a Lovely amphibian aeroplane !
WOW, ingenious, beautiful... very expensive!

Last comment 4 years ago - are the skies filled with these airplanes yet?
is it stable if one of the underwater wings hits first?
And what happens to those foils when you get into shallow water? Snap!?
Beautiful! Nice plane too!
Bravo..magnifique.
Very nice light planes

amazing airplane with many many innovations. I would find some money .....to buy it.
how much does this aircraft cost?
I so want one of these,WOW.
way cooler than the Icon a5
Very fascinating!!
Superb and efficient design. #EAASeaplane #SeaplaneHydroplane
Avec un petit turbopropulseur en lieu et place du 4 cylindres, il serait parfait 👌
I know it's LSA, but this still makes me want to go out and get my seaplane rating.
Looks like the next Generation of the Seawind 3000! but with a different name
Wow!
How much does it cost?
I need to know so that I can start putting some of my pocket money aside, so I would like to know how much and for how long I need to save up>
$300K(USD) depending on how you set up your Cockpit. IF you save $100USD per month this beauty can be yours in 250 years. Viva la France :)
Beautiful
seems like it would be difficult in shallow water, ie the beach
Piaggio P.7 racing uses the hidrofoil too, but is very old..
is it still alive ?
Cool toy..
Pratt Whiteny PT6A-68B is Canadian, not American...
Rotax 912 ULS, which one is installed one the plane, is Austrian.

I'd like to have record by Akoy with Pratt Whiteny PT6A-68B engine from u.s.a to south korea over pacific.

Well, if it's French, and is for sale for E300K, it probably costs them 350 to build.
Cost?!
i love mine its amazing!
runeski74 how far can you go
Really hard to understand what she says...

"LSA" and "Sea" are just two words that do not fit together in my opinion. To me anything "LSA" means rivers lakes and other protected waters.
I asked the same questions and it seems to me that a lot of water could potentially come into the open cockpit when taxiing in a moderate crosswind.

That’s what she said!
@@zule4634 Came here to say this!
😂
lol
it's great concurrence for the A5 but the A5 costs half...
According to their website, 300,000 Euros, excluding VAT.
There are reasons to fly around for no reason. Vanessa, Vanessa, Lisa, Vanessa. Yeah Vanessa, Lisa.
Nice but not in production even in the United States.
Dear Santa...
This might get the rockets under the Icon A5.
I like all the competition in the LSA category. It will produce good safe product at cheaper prices.
We have this one
The icon a5

Cheaper prices? Cheaper than a learjet maybe.
This is very similar to the Icon A5
omg the icon wasnt even the first lsa amphib! even if it was how dumb is it to compare every car ever made after the model T to it.

The weight of the plane does not exceed 500 lb's when dry.
I have said the weight of the Hydro XE does not exceed 500 lb's. The Lisa does weight too much.

I don't think this guy understands that the skis are part of how a hydrofoil works..... Nice vid though, and nice plane
10 Years and nothing else has been done with this "innovative technology"... Gotta love patents...
300,000 good heavens that's well over the average guy/girls income ( which is a shame
Not worth 300k
I wonder how much she pays to Northrop Grumman for using their wing folding mechanism...
I like the Icon A5 better.
It looks like a glider
Err it's all good but this guy is getting so annoying
5:20
at over 100K, I think I will pass. For a lot less money a VELOCITY XL is far better.
😀
Jim Braun Good luck landing the VXL on water!
US$358,000 !!!!! Sorry but is very very very expensive
Sexy airplane, really sexy lady! Love her accent!
