Test with turmeric indicator to detect acids and bases.
You can perform test with below mentioned items:
1) Lemon
2) Turmeric
3) Detergent
4) White paper
5) Water
6) Two ear buds
7) Cotton

Take turmeric powder n add few drops of lime juice to it let the component dry in shade .....u will observe the change in color of turmeric powder....

Mam but if we dip the turmeric paper in an avid like lemon juice, it is showing no change but if we dip the turmeric paper in a neutral substance like water, then also it is showing no change so how can we identify that the particular substance is neutral or acidic after dipping the turmeric paper in the substance?

We can identify by 1st dipping turmeric paper into basic solution. In basic solution it will turn reddish brown then we will dip in neutral solution and will observe no change in colour. But if we will dip the same paper in acidic solution the paper will turn yellow because acid cancels the effect of base and restores the original yellow colour of turmeric paper
