I second someone mentioning long format , I wish this was like 45 mins long at least so I could get a cuppa ☕️ (because that’s all Britain has to offer) and relax. That’s my only constructive feedback 😂❤ can’t wait to see part 2! Wish you all so much luck! ❤

Love this….. 9 years ago my husband and I decided we needed a huge change. So we moved from remote Australia and my husband took up a job in India…..an enormous life change. My boys were aged 7-8 and 10…..we lived there for 8 years and now live in Singapore. Looking back….now that my boys are 20-18 & 17……I realise we made the best decision ever. Even though it was incredibly difficult at times, it’s shaped our boys into incredible young adults that have grown up with a world view that even blows me away at times. So go for it…..and enjoy every moment❤

But since I knew you guys were planning to leave the UK and maybe coming to Portugal I haven't missed one video. Not only because I'm portuguese, but because I think it is so inspiring to see the braveness of moving from your home country and fight for a better, more peaceful and free life.
I don't think these are a thigh anymore, but I would catch a bus to whatever city in Portugal for a meet and great and hearing you guys telling your story.

I felt the same way as you. Watching other people make decisions I like myself but never doing them. I heard a quote earlier this week, something like "we only change, when staying the same becomes more painful than making the change" it resonated with me, and I made the first step.
You are worth making the change for even if it MIGHT make you happier.

One of the hardest things you’ll find is switching off from UK news. It’s difficult because if you don’t speak the language of the country you are in, you default back to UK news. But once you begin to ignore it, and if you are also still in a place where you can’t quite understand the news in the country you are in yet, you reach total bliss. News doesn’t really matter.

We did the same. We left 7 years ago to beautiful Singapore. We didn't sell our home, though, just in case one day, if we want to move back. We love our lives here. Kids go to international school with friends from everywhere in the world and they are very happy. We have sunshine all year around and communal swimming pools and gym at our doorstep. Lots of activities for kids and adults. We get to hop to lots of luxury resorts in Bali, Philippines, and Vietnam. Its easier to visit Japan and Australia since they are very close if you want road trips. The tax is very low, but the cost of living is high, but we don't move to save money, we move, so we get to enjoy our lives more. We don't have to worry about childcare, cleaning, and cooking, as it's affordable to have a live-in helper here. Not to mention, they have the best health care system in the world.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t you vote for Brexit?! You are able to overcome the immigration barriers of Brexit because you have money. Meanwhile you have helped to deny students and lifelong linguists (of which, I am just one) the opportunity to live and work in Europe. It’s disgustingly unfair.

It’s ok saying you’re sick of the UK & the weather ! You can also get sick of the heat !
One thing, you must absolutely,do before making your mind up,about moving to another country,is don’t forget, to ask your young children,if they want to leave England,Grandparents, relatives & most importantly, their school friends! People often say ,children adapt quickly ! I can tell you,it isn’t true ! On the surface, they’ll put a brave face on, but underneath they’ll miss their home, school relatives & friends ,just like their parents !
It’s a massive change ,it takes a long time to adapt! Theres going to be a language barrier! schoolwork will be different, for the children & more !
Trust me,it’s not just about the adults! If you do decide to move ,your children will need a lot of support, from mum & dad !
I know ,we moved to Australia, from England with two young children! My children found it difficult, even though,we had a seven week holiday before deciding to emigrate! They missed everything about, their country England !
    🤞 good luck 🤞
    The grass isn’t always greener!

We are hoping to do the same in the next 5 years. Just me and the hub. I think people who question any change that they themselves cant see working for them will always have negative things to say. We all hate the rat race but we created it and I think thinking outside of the normal is the way forward and finding peace for your own life takes courage, and it takes courage to not listen to the negative voices who are usually speaking from a place of concern. Politics will always be corrupt. Banks will always be corrupt. The idea of a perfect life is corrupt. The world is free and no human illegal. Wishing you the best.

From somebody in the property industry. I think you need to relist with another agent. Your house is beautiful but I think the photos let it down. The photos aren't staged properly and tbh there is too many photos inside. I think you should use another agent and maybe drop your price by 50k.
I know this is probably not what you want to hear but the current market for houses on the upper price bracket isn't great at the moment and people are sitting to see what happens.

I think it's very conceited of Brits to think it's fine to move themselves to another country and expect to be welcomed. The reason you're moving (that you are not stating) is exactly what you are doing to another country. Why would you expect to be welcomed with open arms?
