Hello Ms Charlotte, I hope you're doing well! I have a quick question regarding fabric care instructions for materials that are a blend, such as 80% cotton and 20% polyester. In this case, should I follow care guidelines for cotton, polyester, or a combination of both? Thanks
Hi! Care guidelines are specific to each fabric that is made.. I would try to ask the business you bought the fabric from - what is the care guide for that fabric. If they can't provide you with that info - you can test the fabric yourself (wash / dry) to see how the fabric reacts. I would take 2 large cuttings (at least 30" in length and 20" in width) and wash both in a regular cycle and take 1 cutting and hang dry it and put the other cutting in a regular dry cycle. Then you can compare the 2 cuttings and see if drying made the fabric shrink. Most cotton / poly fabrics are safe to advise - to wash and hang dry/ lay flat to dry. This will make the garment last longer for color and overall fabric feel. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hey creators! Let me know what other design and product development content you would like! :)
Love that I have discovered your channel! Could you do a video on sourcing and communicating with manufacturers?
Hi! That's a great suggestion! Yes I will add that for a video soon :)
