@ currently only on pc! But the way many of things go is that the game is done on pc and then ported later on. So I hope this does come to all platforms eventually
it's becoming a real problem how early we get to see games these days. I know why, it's because the games need funding which means they're applying to a program like Kickstarter or looking for a Publisher or some other form of financial backer and in order to get those they need to present them with interest figures from the general public, like Wishlists. which means showing the game off. But it then feels like a betrayal if the game is still multiple years out. instead of getting to enjoy the thing you were just shown in a reasonable time frame you keep waiting and waiting, and forgetting about the title and seeing it again and waiting and forgetting again and seeing it again and waiting some more and this cycle builds fatigue and annoyance before you even get into the game. What further compounds things is the demo is often so feature complete, that it doesn't feel like a demo in many cases, in fact the only thing that signifies it as a demo is that it usually only lasts for half an hour max, but what you played feels like it's ready to release tomorrow, let alone 6 months from now instead of 6 years. it's a major problem and something that I don't know the solution for and which I fear will only get worse. Another super promising older shooter but not boomer shooter that I recently saw a trailer for was Ferocious. Basically a off-brand original Far Cry copy that looks amazing. Of course last year we had another wrench thrown into the release likelyhood of many indie titles, which I'm sure Agent 64 is subject to as well as Hollow Knight Silksong and that's the crap that was pulled with the Unity engine last year. I'm sure some indie devs decided they could no longer trust Unity, despite the horrible decisions thankfully being revered in a fairly quick order, and made the decision to start over entirely on a different engine, some of which may have even already been very very deep into the development cycle. I'm almost certain Team Cherry started over. Dunno whether the Agent 64 guy also did, but I wouldn't be surprised.
You're definitely not alone. But it was a given it would be delayed. 2026 is a very real possibility (along with "never", unfortunately) Fingers crossed we'll get it at some point
The openness of the dev leads me to believe it will eventually get done but he keeps expanding! The demo is stellar, he has a great foundation, I am just impatient lol
Personally I think ONE reason people are bored by modern games is that they all feel the same. Watching retrospectives it's interesting to see the variety that came about during transitional periods. Namely 3rd person shooters between the turn of 2000, Resident Evil 4, & finally Gears of War. You had some weird mish-mashes & sometimes it came out really cool & other times not so, but still unique. While I enjoyed Logan's Shadow & Dark Mirror I did miss the lock on style of the original trilogy. Honestly I hope more devs look at older oddities & try to implement them. I mean YES RE4 did do a fair bit for 3rd person, but around the time there were others that in my opinion did it similar & at times better. Cold Fear basically had what would become standard over the shoulder action horror more akin to Dead Space. Extermination had a multi-blend of shooting. From a semi-fixed camera 3rd person with laser sight & lock on to a more precise first person. Now a game I would love to see made is a Sister of Battle game that is Tomb Raider style shooting & controls set on a Necron Tomb World. I feel like that could be pretty cool.
I'm wondering if we're ever getting Agent 64 or Compound Fracture. Haven't seen any updates for either game recently. Though the one that really bugs me is Unrecord. This one game kicked off a lot of crap bodycam games to be made, but still hasn't released. I think it is dead lol.
Wow. Didn't knew this existed. This is Goldeneye N64 coming back!!!!!🙏🏻
The demo is amazing!
@joethealternativegamer3935 Joe do you know if they are working for several platforms as an indie game? Such as PS or Switch?

@joethealternativegamer3935 thanks Joe! I will keep track on this game!

All great points! I think with agent 64, they keep adding more. And in fairness it sounds like stuff we’d love to have!
solid points. Add 'Routine' to the list of games that were introduced, yet seemingly always further our, whenever we're updated.

@joethealternativegamer3935, Maybe, we haven't seen anything from Unrecord since that "gameplay" video from 2023.
@ wow!
