Luxury originally meant something that is so well made, because of the skills, care, time and effort that one puts into it, that it could command an extremely big price tax, although not necessarily so. I wonder when the price tag started to supersede quality and craftsmanship? One such glaring example, although very niche, was the badges given to chronometers based on accuracy in the watch industry. As competition got tougher and more 'outsiders' started commanding the top spots, more rules were introduced, which eventually changed the landscape from one of superlative quality to one that was based more on high price tags and 'club membership'. Oldest auto brand in China? Never heard of "Honqi" till now 🤔
Luxury can't be cheap and if it is cheap it can't be luxury. 1 out 10 ever made is luxury not 1 out of 1 million.
"Hon Ki" sounds like a car for a cowboy or a farmer. I don't think rich people want to be seen in a Chinese car.
After it is launched in Europe.. few years down the Line you will find them Banned by Goverments as they will say it is Chinese and has Syping Gadgets and Capabilites😂.
Watch them start catching on fire every 3 seconds....
Thx for the video but the car pronounced khong chi bro not hongki
In the future owners of this car will discover that they full of ordinary and substandard materials both mechanical and electrical.
Where the battery located? What is the function of the big hood?
they were charging like hell due to monopoly
in other words your saying they copy right
Has just 1 little problem. Somewhere on it is a label that says. MADE in CHINA.
Will this be sold in the US
That names Honke (Honky) sucks in America 🇺🇸, they need to change it for the International customers, like GM in U.S. is Opel in Europe. Ford in England & USA is Merkur in Germany. This I believe will help this brand expand much faster with a Classy Rename for Export.
formidable its hightech
I love Hongqi, I saw i my country,oo h it was a huge and tank skin. Really liked
That name and price? Ain't gonna work outside China.
Sir, Honqi is not pronounced as hongkey but hungchi.
Without Bentley Rolls Jaguar to lead the way I doubt this imitation could ever exist. If I had 2 million to spend on a car I would buy a Rolls Royce. The Chines equivalent would have to be priced at $200K to compete. Think about it, if I bought it at $200K I would be driving the poverty pack edition advertising to the world I cannot afford a 2 million dollar Rolls Royce. But I can afford the 2 million dollar Rolls Royce and there in lies the problem - OPTICS. It is always about the OPTICS. China should stick to making cheap utilitarian vehicles, the peasants like them. Let the wealthy show their status.
Here in Norway it costs around $75.000 and they have sold 2086 of them in 2022. That was about 1,5% of al new cars last year. I see many of them every year.
They got billions complain, their customers are absolutely upset.this brand will never ever compete.this video is made without any real attention on what is happening right now to this brand in China
It will never change my mind and German car are the only way forward
The name is actually hong - red ahi’s - flag the RR if China.
Anything made in China and owned by Chinese companies I don’t buy except the made in China by foreign companies.
People buying rolls royce dont gv a fck about the cost.
Its also the brand value and the image of owning one.
Congratulations to China that made things more easier for the poor. Where is Germany record to compare to China in the world. I'll always support the rising sun to shine more. These product will sail and mk profit.❤❤❤
Please stop comparing rolls Royce with a car whose only ambition is to be as close to rolls Royce as possible
I think chinese manufacturer should hire me for Coming up brand names. I would never pay good money for a car that is called honki. I am sure I am not alone.
rr is a 20 years old volksvagen or bmw or whatever covered with leather and touchscreens. now there is a luxury toyota😮 170000 €$
It will probably shrivel up like a piece of paper once it is involved in a crash.
Yes way to go! It shakes the automotive world... As people laugh so hard the world shake.
Honky, BMVoo.
This is a very funny car video
I don't think that Rolls Royce is concerned.
Don’t believe that… they are stylish but their is an issue on replacement parts and cheap bodymaking
China is way way ahead of many countries...👍
London cabs some made in china like this one in the video..like you ride a real Rolls Royce and its much better than the Rolls Royce that were made in UK..
You got to be kidding me!
there is old saying, you live in heaven if you have chinese food, indian wife, german car and american salary.
And you are in hell if you have american wife, CHINESE CAR, indian salary and german food.
for luxury car, its never about low price, Its about brand.. Chinese car will never get a brand value of Mayback - let alone RR..
