My first reaction is to think this would never be possible because of the lack of blocking spaces or stealing of your intrigue cards. You'd have to be playing against drunks or rookies to be this lucky. BUT reframing this into an intellectual exercise akin to studying opening moves in chess, using the puzzle as a way of training your instincts and pattern recognition, is useful. I think it'd be cool if you tried this again, including stacking the hands and intrigue card order, and playing against the base AI (house hagal) to see how many points you can get in 3 turns. It would probably still be an impressive amount compared to the average VP per turn a typical player generates.
Very very interesting idea for a video. Can't wait for some challengers to appear and do it even faster! I can't not comment asking why you don't sleeve your cards though. It seems like you've put a lot of wear on this awesome game and the cards are taking a beating.
There's some discussion on the Reddit thread about how we can do it even faster! www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/1f07r3w/comment/ljq6uza/? As for wear and tear, I've never even considered card sleeves until now. Might need to buy a new copy 😅
Haven't finished the video yet but my initial thought to help would playing against a hundro who goes carthag > secrets >carthag with his first 3 agents so you are able to steal an additional intrigue when you visit secrets in round two. I haven't seen the speedrun play out yet, and I doubt a single intrigue will help you win a round earlier but it was the first opportunity for optimization I saw
Great point. We explored this idea a bit on a Reddit thread, and it turns out you can get two players to have 4 intrigue cards, which obviously offers great potential. www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/1f07r3w/comment/ljrsoxd/?
Interesting, thanks for the video! You also get 3 solaris from the alliance with the Guild, right? So 4 solaris left in the end... it might be possible to do better :)
Here is another challange: have 15 (or more) persuation in the first round. I know that 15 is possible, so you either find that solution or find a better one :)))
Really interesting challenge/puzzle! Gave it a go: ruclips.net/video/VJgaLh8QnwQ/видео.html Played with Baron as well and used the same 2 Conflict II cards.
I've always wondered what would happen if everything went optimally in Dune imperium

Forgot to mention: with Rise of IX and Immortality, so not just the base game.

Awesome stuff!
