The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long!
Most exciting and explosive player I’ve seen. At his peak, he was untouchable.

Judd at West Coast was something else. Acceleration and change of direction was off the charts.

Ablett and Judd were both great. Ablett was great for longer. Chris Judd in his prime was the greatest I've ever seen.

Agree. Ablett could gather more disposals and find it better than anyone, with a few 50s to his name, but wce judd would just devestate with you every touch.

Nailed it. Judd was better at his peak, but Ablett had the better overall career

'Generational talent' gets thrown around heaps for names like Dangerfield and Jack Riewoldt and such, but Judd seriously was the pinnacle of generational talent. Something that special just doesnt come around often

For mine judd in his prime at west coast is still the best I've ever seen. Would take him in his prime over ablett jnr any day of the week. A simply phenomenal player!

He just had the ability to will any team to come up around him and raise their level. He almost single handedly brought the Blues back into that 2013 elimination final against the Richmond. Sheer strength to burst through packs you'd think were impossible to burst through and then have the class and polish to finish by either kicking the goal himself or setting it up for someone else. What a footballer.

I remember when he kicked that five against Brisbane. Laying on the couch hungover hoping we weren't gonna lose by ten goals. By halftime I was upright having a beer watching a legend being born. Easily the best player of his era imo.

@More Chilli since the early 90’s. Dusty easily ahead of Judd and Ablett jr. These guys don’t come close in regards to the ability to win a high pressure game off their own boot, which is what I hold on high regard.

Different player at both clubs. He actually had more of the ball stats wise at Carlton than he did west coast. Just didn’t get those freakish goals as he lost pace with injuries. Not to mention he didn’t have the same freedom and support at Carlton like that great west coast side.

Judd in his prime is better than any AFL / VFL player.
He's better than Voss, Better than Ablett Jnr, better than Selwood, better than Bont better than Dusty, better than Kerr and Cousins. Better than Simon Black, aker and ever other standout player.
