I am only considering interior because we would just use that size room for sleep, toilet, shower, sex. So we could really save some cash by getting that. But the balcony would be awesome fr because of breakfast out there and just more space period. But i don’t want to stay in the room too long and not use the amenities of the YC. Lol decisions, decisions!

The Yacht Club Interior suite is not large - but it is livable, especially for cruisers who, by choice, spend very little time in their cabin. For us, we sleep, dress, and shower in our cabin, and the rest of the time, we are enjoying the perks of the Yacht Club.
While we do not have an extensive cruising history, we have done several MSC Yacht Club and NCL Haven cruises over the past year, and we have never had the need (or desire), to eat in our cabin or entertain others in our cabin - so the smaller space doesn't bother us.
One big benefit of booking the Yacht Club Interior cabin over a Yacht Club Balcony cabin is that the money we save gives us more money for another cruise!

I must say I was much more spoiled the first time. We felt the smaller details were missing this time. Our fatal flaw for YC is how bidding is handled, example: on sailing we disembarked today our minimum bid to go from a YC Interior to a YC balcony was $990/pp bringing total cost to $6000 which was over $500 more than we would pay from booking outright. Met multiple people who upgraded from Bella interior to YC balcony with minimal bid of $700/pp total cost to them was about $1800. I’d like to see a better bid system be implemented though I know that’s much easier said than done.

    • @MC-ys4yf
      @MC-ys4yf 2 месяца назад +2

@@jackiewilkey agreed but I don’t know how their system works, all I know is it’s handled by a third party and MSC is hands off once the bidding process starts. Just doesn’t make sense bid offers are sent out and the more you paid the higher the starting bid is. Would make sense to me to offer free upgrades to those who paid full rate for an interior and then upgrade those who bid on interiors as opposed to offering those who bid on an interior a balcony but I’m sure there’s some algorithm that determine that’s the best way to handle the process. Good news is that YC is so fantastic more and more sailings are going out full and less bids are getting accepted. Though I was a little miffed last week when I asked to pay to upgrade to a balcony once onboard since 17 rooms were available, and concierge offered me the low low price of $2200, only to be told by a bidder they paid $2100 all in for a balcony via bid.

Was on MSC Seascape Yacht Club Balcony back in November. It was epic and I don't want to travel any other way. However, and this was a little confusing, we didn't have any USB or electrical sockets near our bed. Everything was on the opposite wall so we had to have cords strung across our room. That was kind of annoying. That being said, I still give my experience a 15 out of 10.

Regardless if legal in your home state. You’re going through US Customs so it’s a federal offense if you get caught. Not to mention some Caribbean destinations while seeming to be laid back are super strict against us tourists with drugs. Let alone the cruise companies being against it. And yes this ^^^^ includes edibles.
Why risk a (federal) felony which could potentially cause you to lose your job, & barred from entry to foreign countries!!!

Interesting vid, and really informative for those looking at interior YC. I did my first YC at the end of October in a Deluxe Balcony and it was incredible. So incredible that I booked the same itinerary and even the exact same stateroom (16001). For me, the YC experience was more about the amenities outside the cabin (and the included perks), but yeah, I'd be disappointed if I'd booked that stateroom! They really should do YC interior suites double the size to include a sitting/living area. Basically, merge every 2 interiors into a single larger unit. I think they do it to hit a price point in YC, but still, a standard interior is not sufficient for the level of service they are going for. The bathroom situation is a turn off for me - if as a bigger person you can't fully be in the shower to experience the overhead rain showerhead. Is it a deal breaker? As you said no! Because you still get the amenities of Yacht Club, access to the Spa Rooms, a free restocked mini fridge, wifi for 2 devices, Yacht Club Top Sail Lounge, Yacht Club Pool and poolside buffet for breakfast and lunch. However, i have a question for you regarding Butler service. Will they get you food from the food kiosks on World America and bring it to your room or poolside? How about Gelato or soft serve ice cream, is that possible to be delivered? When you are in Yacht Club, do you buy a dining package? When we were on Seashore in November 2023, we didn't do that so curious what your experience has been with butler service and how far that extends? Hey guys, we had the same experience when we did our first MSC YC interior “suite” cruise, we had the same impression that the service is a bit different, when we booked our balcony “suite” we had the full YC experience , the butler set up the food order on the table , set up the plates silverware etc, but what we still not like and its a big flaw is, the balcony furniture in the YC Balcony Suite, cmon MSC, to put the same standard Ikea balcony furniture in the Yacht Club Balcony Suite which every none yacht club balcony on the ship have ? I think the YC Balcony suites should have better and comfortable balcony furniture incl a bigger table bc the balcony are way bigger then the standard rooms, when we did the NCL The Heaven cruise, there have big comfortable outdoor recliner with a bigger table and a lounger , this is what I would expect from a 8k YC balcony suite, you don’t think so?? BTW, we booked the MSC World of America Yacht Club for May, btw, the amount of YC interior cabins are down to 7……

@@theamericandreamfoundinflo6836 so there is less interior suites… that’s good and bad. Good that they recognize they can’t provide the same service… bad it’s just going to cost us more 😢😢
Good point about the balcony furniture. It should be something that feels more upgraded and comfortable.
You will have to let us know how the YC on WA is!! We are hoping it is amazing 🎉🎉

@@Taste-Try-Travel We had an amazing time. Walking to the Yacht Club restaurant in the back of the ship was "different", either in the wind or multiple elevators ,but not a show stopper. The restaurant was beautiful and as always, the food and service was excellent. Meraviglia Yacht Club has a much better layout in our opinion.

I'm condemnd to a life of poverty, never been on a cruaise ansd barring a miracle-it won't happen. It's a very exclusive club, given that , you would think you would never find addicts on board. You would thin the ships are full of rich doctors making $500K yr.

We hope you get a chance… the ship is filled with all types of people and you don’t need to be rich at all. MSC has some great prices and you don’t have to spend a lot of money either!!

Yes, the so called "Interior YC suites' are a huge fail. And, it isn't like they tried to create the YC from an already existing space.
Why the heck did they not double the size of these Interiors, with a sitting area and a decent bath?????
    Def. an MSC 'fail'.
But, ANYONE who is looking at booking these is at their own peril, because all of the info and videos are out there.
And, the salsa and pizza, where it is supposed to be best pizza at sea, and you can't even get semi-Italian sausage...
Sorry, but I don't know who anybody who has not had Princess Pizza, especially at Alfredo's, can begin to mention MSC in the same breath.

YC interiors can be excellent like on Meraviglia class, or identical to what’s found in Gen Pop like on Seaside Class, it’s really ship dependent. I wouldn’t hesitate to sail YC on Mera but would avoid it on Seaside.
