  • Hold your nose and dive into the wild & wonderful world of gut microbiome research! MIT scientist Dr. Jemila Kester shows us her bioengineered human intestine that allows her to test the effects of different fecal (aka poop) transplants. She hopes this experiment will one day be used to customize a microbial cocktail for each patient that needs a fecal transplant!

    I have read "The Good Gut" by Sonnenburg and "Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body's Most Under-Rated Organ" by Giulia Enders und David Shaw.
    They wrote about this. Your film continues the story, thanks for the edutainment!

      After 2 weeks of using Dr.Auchi herbal medicine for my Tmau disease, it was cured. That was the reason I decide to let everyone know that Dr.Auchi herbal medicine worked for me in curing my Tmau because it is on RUclips platform that I found Dr.Auchi..

    Well,....interesting. As one who has exhibited "life-long" negative pooping hygiene; IBS-D...I'm ready to find a clinical trial. Hopefully be on the "end" of the trial that's actually receiving the bacterial "upgrade".
    Where might one be being conducted near "upstate NY at this this?" I'm close to Albany, N.Y. also known as "Small-Bany". (dated: 5-5-2021)

    if anti-microbial peptides were meant to be produced by good bacteria, why not quantify protein instead of RNA or atleast why not both and why RNA quantification only?

    • @ScienceIRL
      @ScienceIRL  4 года назад

      That's a great question! It is *way* easier and cheaper to quantify RNA than proteins, and since the main purpose of RNAs is to be translated into proteins, it's a really good proxy to use in the lab.

      @@ScienceIRL thanks for the reply. i asked coz sometimes RNA could be silenced. im not sure how its about these peptides' action invivo. that's why i had this doubt.
