    She makes the hardest notes look so effortless without looking like she's exerting much effort. She's a masterclass in singing all by herself.

    "Close to you" is a freaking vocal masterpiece❤❤❤❤, and after all that singing , she hit the gas with more power and resonance on " Promises Promises" . She went gangsta on that one at the end, smdh!!, lol

    Clearly some clueless and entitled souls have no idea that sometimes when you obtain archival footage, there will be production watermarks and timing strips on the screen. This knowledge is common amongst anyone who collects rare and older performance footage. This isn't like Netflix or Amazon Prime where in fact you pay to see shows that are logo free. Years ago folks who wanted to see rare shows like this could expect to pay $25.00 or more to obtain a copy of a show like this and be happy to have it, on screen warts and all. Channels such as these on RUclips are offering the viewing pleasure for FREE! If you're not happy with it, don't watch and unsubscribe from the channel. Thank you to the owners of this channel for making this rare gem available for all to see and enjoy!

    • @TheDragLover
      @TheDragLover Год назад +11

      Love this comment, and I think the word "entitled" is entirely accurate. How are you compelled to actually spend time writing out a complaint about something you put no energy into acquiring or providing either financially or any other way? Just here to enjoy it for free and dissatisfied with the product? The old adage "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" is still apropo in this day and age. Even moreso with folks who seem to think they should get everything for free and it should be of the highest quality. I get the same complaints on my own channel about things not being in "4K" or low quality. Like you, message to those entitled folks is don't watch, don't subscribe, don't waste your energy commenting, and keep it moving. Problem solved.

    For me it's the versatility and musical adaptability you exhibit in this concert, and your career. The Barry White tune is perfectly tailored to your abilities without losing any of the groove and sensuality. The musicianship necessary to make the Bacharach tunes come alive is your trademark, but it's when you stray into other repertoire that we get to really see why you're in a class by yourself. Beautiful concert.

    This was a short set list. She must have been the opening act. Harrah's (Tahoe) always had an opener & a headliner. At this point, other than the Spinner's duet in '74, Dionne had not had a hit in years so she was obviously the "Opener' with the shorter show. Thank you for sharing. Really enjoyed this.
