Easiest way to defeat Gloom Hands when you dont have a ledge for bullet time: Step 1: Shoot one bombflower at them so you reduce their health. Step 2: Make sure you have some ice weapons. The best ones are Magic Staff + Sapphire fuse or Pristine Spear + Ice Lizalfos Horn. Waving the magic staff + sapphire will freeze them all in one go. Spear + Ice Horn will allow you to freeze them as they reach for you. Go with whichever method you aee comfortable with. Step 3: You only have a couple of seconds while they are frozen. Do not attack yet. Instead get away from the frozen Gloom Hands, put some distance between you and them, then prepare your bow and arrow. Step 4: Make sure you have your Sages summoned so they can assist. Step 5: This part is important. Dont move your arrow around. Just keep it focused on one spot. This way, the hands are forced to turn and look at you, instead of you trying to get a proper angle and missing your shot. Just draw your bow and arrow, stay still and wait for each hand to look directly at you. The hands will each come one at a time now. They will move so that the eye in the middle is directly facing where your arrow is pointed. You don't have to adjust your angle. They will do it for you. Just stand still and fire. You are guaranteed to hit a perfect target every single time for each of the hands. When one gets knocked back, the next one will take its place and move itself into position for your arrow to hit directly at the eye. Do this three times for each hand and they will disappear and Phantom Ganon will arise. For Phantom Ganon i find that parrying with your shield is more effective than a Flurry Rush.
Haven't busted the seal on TotK yet. Still on my 100% BotW run. But! I am so using your trial and error videos. That and BeardBear is an awesome resource. FYI- 657 korok seeds down, 243 to go. Almost maxed out the armour upgrades. Want to clear all the side quests before I go kick G-boi's rear end
Actually they de-spawn in other areas but I think you have to fight them here. Just tried it and it doesn’t work. Maybe the surface has to be totally vertical or maybe they patched this, but it works for the hylian shield hands.
My strat for gannon was just shield and run. Shoot him is the face after he attacks or is just standing, you will have enough time to put your shield up.
floated down tree center until a ledge. Ledge had a rock with a light. Around the edge was gloom red. I put a wing down to walk to edge with. I used only bomb arrows. Took out all the hands. The boss started shooting arrows but they couldnt reach my perch. No fight. Eyeballs also hit boss in head for good effect.
I would 100% not recommend this for early game. Get all the glyphs and a final glyph will appear. After the cut scene, the dragon flys super low and you can glide down from the nearest tower
Great video, as always. Only note, it's "Deh-koo" tree. Again, love your videos, glad I finally got the game so I could continue to enjoy your content!
Those hands get affected by electricity and dazzle. I like to shoot them in bullet time if I can. I don't get close to them due to their grabbing. As for Phantom Ganondorf, I just fight him like any other monster. Furry rush and parry. Although, because pauses a lot, I mess it up. I have to practice his timing.

What was the recipe for the fried wild greens that you ate during your fight with Phantom Ganon? Also, how did it restore your hearts since it looked like you took gloom damage?
Sundelion you can get them on the sky islands, a few grow in Hyrule field If you cook one, it will restore three gloom hearts if you cook two it will restore six, but you can mix it with meat or chicken or something like that and it will recover regular hearts as well
"Extremely early on in the game"... riiiiight. Two stamina wheels. Phantom Ganon. Heavy spoiler cutscene. I'm saving this after I finish my third temple.
I took the long way got the mystic armor and i got a tone of rubies so every hit i lose rubies instead of hearts. Get a good bow and stock up on bombs.
The hands are the real "b*tch" in this fight, run and use the bombs and have plenty of meals for when you end up blowing yourself up..... As for the Phantom Ganon, he is easier than the hands if you keep moving, I used the ancient arrow heads on him with a Royal bow, he did not go down easily, the toughest fight so far for me.... As for getting the sword then make that hover bike thing..... once the Deco tree gives you the location of the moving dragon then hop into the sky and use the bike thing to get near it and jump on it's back.... 🙂
Personally, having gone through the game now, I feel getting the master sword early spoils the story and the 'quest', because there's a stronger sense of achievement building yourself up gradually as you progress in the game.
Thsee hands btw don't like water.....was watching Hyrule Dude pillaging Hyrule lol and there are these hands in the Docks....he went after them.....led them near the water and hung on to a rock and shot at them from there....they die if they go in the water. I wonder if splashfruit works on them?
@@WTF-Gaming thank you for the reply. Was able to complete the quest. It was fun because it was my 1st time to defeat that gloom monster. Right place right time for the dragon.

Go to lookout landing and drop down into the emergency shelter to swap your hearts for stamina at the horned statue …. but it only takes two wheels of stamina. When you see that pop up you only have to hold down the button when you’re on top of the dragons head …. don’t push it rapidly you just have to hold it down, I don’t know if that’s what you’re doing but you should only need two wheels of stamina😉

If you stumble upon the Korok forest you will find it anyway… And you can actually just find the dragon and pull the sword, she flies high until you take care of the Deku tree, but she is reachable with a little imagination, The game is designed that you can pretty much do almost anything at the beginning of the game just depends on which direction you want to go …some have commented that it’s really not that much of a spoiler I guess it just depends on who you talk to😉

But it is easy to get the stamina… And I show you where to get the armor….you can see that I don’t have that many hearts that’s because I picked stamina when doing the shrines that is really the only requirement is the stamina. If you want the armor, I have an easy guide 😉
And I don’t think the armor really helped me anyway, it was more or less bomb flowers, and then someone said to use the puffshrooms that they work great 😉
But you can actually just find the dragon. She flies really high until you take care of the Deku tree and then the dragon will fly a lot lower, but if you have a little imagination you can reach her before saving the tree…if you just find the dragon, you can go ahead and pull the sword without doing all of this😉 just have to have two stamina wheels

Cheri the poes are a life saver....you can exchange them for bombs......and they are everywhere in the depths.....I got 12 from the Poe statue near Robbie after about 10 minutes in the depths.
Try this for bomb flowers … don’t waste your poes 😉

Easiest way to defeat Gloom Hands when you dont have a ledge for bullet time:
Step 1: Shoot one bombflower at them so you reduce their health.
For Phantom Ganon i find that parrying with your shield is more effective than a Flurry Rush.
those fighting this guy where the Korok lights are you can assend there to a ledge but he can still jump up to you but help with BT in air
Nice tip, thank you!
4:26 - My immature brain couldn't help but laugh at your pronunciation of "Deku" tree 😄, but I really appreciate your practical advice!
It’s OK… At least now we all have something to talk about and laugh about🤣
@@WTF-Gaming Glad you can laugh about it 😊 -- I was afraid I might've offended you, but I definitely enjoy your content and your easy-going style 😎.
I am way too old to be offended🤣 And thank you so much for watching!
"Duka tree" 😭
Gloom hands de-spawn if you climb on to a vertical surface and chill there for a bit.
Nice💪😎
I found the sparkling dragon at the sky land
All ya need is rocket to boost high and glide to the dragons head
Very good hope u make more.
I managed to have that. Took about 2hours, because i lost in down there lava place
I would 100% not recommend this for early game.
Get all the glyphs and a final glyph will appear. After the cut scene, the dragon flys super low and you can glide down from the nearest tower
I just got the extra stamina ring hoped onto the light Dragons back and out came ghe sword. Grab a piece of the horn first.
This helped me out a lot, thanks for the tips.
You’re very welcome, I’m glad it helped and thank you for watching!
Oh wow you showed them hands who was BOSS!! Maybe I should go to the Deku tree then bahahaha
Yes, give it a try😉 it will save your game before you get there or save the game manually, you can always try again!
thank you for making these videos! you're helping me so much! 🤩🥰
You are very welcome and thank you for watching!
Great video, as always. Only note, it's "Deh-koo" tree. Again, love your videos, glad I finally got the game so I could continue to enjoy your content!
Thank you!
@WTF-Gaming of course!!!
I'm calling it the "Dookah" tree from now on 😂
😂💞
Those hands get affected by electricity and dazzle. I like to shoot them in bullet time if I can. I don't get close to them due to their grabbing. As for Phantom Ganondorf, I just fight him like any other monster. Furry rush and parry. Although, because pauses a lot, I mess it up. I have to practice his timing.
Thank you for this video. I’ve been so frustrated with trying to get the master sword that I literally stop playing for a while so thanks for the tips.
You are very welcome, I’m glad it helped, and thank you so much for watching!
I love your channel. It is so nice to hear that another adult female loves gaming this much.

Thank you💞 I’m so glad I could help and thank you for watching!
thank ill sure give this a try i am tryinh to beat the boss n the main boss n the game but i keep diying so i end up getting more arrows n more bows can u buy more bows n the game i know u can buy more arrow but did not know if u can buy the bow r not..
No you can’t buy bows, Lynels are one of the best places to get bows 😉
But you can get several bows in the castle
Do I need to collect the glifs in addition to all this?
You do not have to collect them to get the sword
I really recommend you to get master sword after half or nearly the end of game.
I love your channel. Thanks for the help
You are welcome and thank you for watching!
Hi Sherry! Ty for your videos 🙏
You are so welcome, and as always, thank you for watching!💞
🤷♀️worth a try 😉
I managed to glitch it t hrough the wall of the 2nd shrine in the previous patch :D
no quest for meee
The spoiler is sorta obvious, but if you somehow still don't know the origins of this Dragon, the Master Sword can wait.
Thank you for your help.
You are very welcome, and thank you for watching!
I went and got the MS under Grandson's tutelage, and sat and Bawled knowing 'who' I was pulling that sword out of.... stoopie game.
PS... it's not in her 'head'' her hairs wrapped in it.
True 😉💞
Thank you this really helped
You are very welcome, and thank you for watching!
If you can beat him, then I'll be ok. I'm actually way more OP than I need to be. Thanks for the share. Love your accent, by the way!
Thank you!
Idk if im wrong been riding the drsgon far too long. It doesnt shake or anything to get rid of me
It only does it at first when you pull the sword
@@WTF-Gaming thank you for the reply.
Was able to complete the quest. It was fun because it was my 1st time to defeat that gloom monster.
Right place right time for the dragon.
@@rice6682 You are welcome and thank you for watching!
You dont have to walk all the way to the lighroot if you have enough zonai charges to fill up a zonai flying device
Since theres 2 gloom hands spawn points along the way, i rather do this way
I got the sword yaya.....that Phatom Ganon gave me some trouble...finally I used spears to keep him away from me....broke two weapons but it was worth it. The Gloom hands were easy ....they look scary but that's about it. I did use attack boost however but I thi keep him away from you is the best approach...heaven knows enemies with spears are always a headache.
I accidentally came upon the Light Dragon during one of my explorations of the Sky Islands. She passed by, I said, "Why not?" and that was it. I haven't even gotten one Regional Phenomenon done.
I used the bow from hyrule castle and shot Gannon in the face. It staggers him when he attacks you and does a lot of damage
Nice!
Omg thank you so much. How you like the game so far? I like it..
You are very welcome, I like it there’s just so much to 😉
Since we know where the sword is, can we skip going to the depths altogether?
To get the sword? Yes, if you can reach the dragon, you can pull it.😉
the great *what* tree?? are you saying "the great douka tree"?
it's the great *DEKU* tree. it says right there on the screen, DEKU, not "douka"
🤣👍
I was terrified of phantom gannon until I the demon king made me fight about 8 of them, after that he became just another enemy. Is the Master Sword unbreakable?
It loses power and has to recharge but it won’t completely break it just has some downtime 😉
Thank u good video
You are very welcome, I hope it helped and thank you for watching!
all i used was the lynel bow that shoots 3 arrows to defeat phantom ganon and boom got it😊
also thanks to the tunic of the depth that helped me alot
Please help me! i have done 99% of the shrines... i do not have enough stamina to recover the heores sword. yellow stamina does not work.
i am stuck and feel like i have to quit the game.
You have a lovely voice.
Thank you!💞
Can you go to the dragon without going to the Deku tree
Yes, all you have to do is reach the dragon😉
What the meal that gave over 8 extra hearts!? Never had any more than 4, even with golden apples.
See if this helps😉

Lol the great dooka tree took me out 😆
Keep at it,you got this 😉
I just climbed the wall and shot from a ledge above where they couldn’t get me and killed them there.
I collected like 22 hearts before dared to attack a Gloom Hand. I am a scaredy cat hahaha
😜
Not a single thing wrong with being "over" prepared! 😂
@@morgainnejade hahaha no it isn't. But they just scare me. I still avoid them like the plague hahaha
@@mandyhuybregts3235don't worry, I'm still like that over guardians. You would think one was attacking me in real life, the way my heart pounds & just general physical reaction. Honestly I could probably handle it better if it were to happen in real life! But it just makes me kinda sad that I'm missing out on some gameplay over not being willing to put myself through that anymore.

Pro tip put the seed on the cart
It would be helpful if they said how early is “early” in the game, so we knew if this was even practical or possible for us or if we have to progress further in the story before watching this video. Also… pointing out that this is a major spoiler at the end of the video instead of in the beginning before folks put in all that effort is crazy.
I think I mentioned All you need is 2 full stamina wheels that is the only requirement and to get off sky Island of course 😉
And in the very beginning in text at the top, I put in there contains spoilers😉 so I thought I pretty much made everyone aware of the requirements and that it contained spoilers I apologize if you didn’t see the spoiler warning in the beginning or hear the requirements 🤷♀️
@@WTF-Gaming no I didn’t see the text I was listening to you while I was getting ready to go to my nieces bday party lol… all the while I’m listening to see if it’s feasible and all I heard at the end was there was a major cutscene spoiler lol… so I’ll just following the traditional path but thanks anyway
If you stumble upon the Korok forest you will find it anyway… And you can actually just find the dragon and pull the sword, she flies high until you take care of the Deku tree, but she is reachable with a little imagination, The game is designed that you can pretty much do almost anything at the beginning of the game just depends on which direction you want to go …some have commented that it’s really not that much of a spoiler I guess it just depends on who you talk to😉
Also what is the gREaT dEe-kOo trEe
🤦♀️🤣
Wait, do poes _always_ show you where to go???
No not always … It just so happens they were lined up here
But I usually do end up finding something following the poes materials or whatever
Ya can go straight to the dragon
LOL how can you say to get the sword early and easy when you have two full stamina wheels and all that armour. You've been playing the game for days at my guess.
"I don't have strong weapons" lol that is a lynel sword! I mean... I am so scared I run away any time I see a lynel!!!
You shouldn’t run you are missing out on valuable weaponry and parts just save your game and practice… This is a breath of the wild video, but the mechanics in tears of the kingdom are the same see if this helps
