I was thinking about the same thing! I didn't think the substitute item could be used in that way, I normally just use it to D-air into it and put myself into the air, making myself a bit more unpredictable and use a weird approach

His proficiency at provoking and reacting to tech chases is incredible. He gets so much payoff from reading a roll or air dodge that it takes his Greninja to a whole new level play.
This is the perfect example of a character complimenting a player and not a player being carried by his/her character.
I love how he reads wake up with his down air. Also really interesting use of neutral B to stall in the air and wait for the tead

Phaze has always been an Online Legend ever since the Wii U days. Greninja is notoriously low in Online-Only tier lists because compared to other characters, his precision means that he suffers a lot with the tiniest of lag. The fact that he managed to have such lightning-fast reactions and punishes ONLINE goes to show what a technical and talented player he is (i mean, you managed to make a near 9 minute montage off of his plays!). If he applied those skills Offline, he could be dominating.
Unfortunately he seems reticent about not going to tourneys. Since you seem to know him, would you say his reasoning for not going to tourneys is similar to yours? As in, he has the skills, but gets struck by pseudo stage-fright?

you can press jab 1 and still be able to react to all techs with D-attack, and then the loop continues
For sure, just hold shield and get up thrown into an up air drag down combo. Just tech roll and get tech chased by a character with top 5 tech chasing. It's so easy man, just press R

Yeah he did, paused it frame by frame. I didn’t see a z-air. Looks like the boomerang shield pokes him, which he parried, then is active for another frame, hits him again, which he counters.
Beefy smash dudes did a video on this, you can do it with any move. Parry into counter always works.
That was a fun 8 minutes of the same 9 or so combos.

Although I don't play Greninja as much as I used to back in Sm4sh (he was my main) since I know play Wolf and mostly Terry, he will always be my most fun character to play and my fav Mon. I still remember my reaction when he was revealed back in Sm4sh. That trailer was amazing. He's the reason why I always hope everyone can get their dream character in Smash one day, cause he was always my #1 pick ever since I picked up my cute little Froakie back in X and Y.
