Hearing this veraion is like seeing claudio's inside thoughts and its like he's making an alternative universe version of coheed and cambria. I love both of the version.
I do like this chorus better, it's more fun for me. And less soaring like a lot of this album so it would've added some diversity to the sound and feel. Also if he's actually saying "I promise things will be alright, even if the end is hanging by your side all night." I fucking love that. That classic precise obscurity of coheed lyrics
I promise that you’ll be alright Even if the end’s hanging by your side all night This love is in protocol Why won’t you listen to me... (when I won’t you go?) I’m in love, watch me burn as I fall
*Good Apollo, I'm Burning Love Protocol VI: Smash Your Hand Upon An Anvil* That's my dream side-project concept album by Claudio Sanchez and Josh Eppard that's a slice-of-life story about Mayo Deftinwolf's private life as a cargo starship captain. 😤👌
I like other parts of this version more, but I do like the line "Tell me you've got me, sweetheart" from the final version a bit better. I like that this one actually has "Love protocol" as lyrics, making the name make more sense.
The final version is clearly more final, I can say that much at least. Anyone with lyricism experience will recognize that. This is saying the same thing with more words and less rhythmic flow. Hard to say whether or not it's better - it's more expressive, but it flows less.
This version sounds like it's a totally different speaker/character from the final version. This one is a lot more direct, which I'm loving. The album version is somewhat more... abstract lol
This is a great song but compared to the final version I would say it's inferior. The album version gives you feels especially the chorus when Claudio sings "Swert vertigo, feel my lungs heaving, choking, clawing down my back, panic attack." And to be honest adding I love you in the lyrics is kind of sweet but kind of boring in a song because that word is universal and easy to understand. Using other words in the lyrics will make it more poetic and deep. Besides Claudio is having trouble fitting the chorus of this demo.
Maybe productionwise yes.... but lyrically it seems to fit better. Creature says "Hold on to me, how bad can the worst be? Sweetheart, nothing stands a chance in our way...." ... fits more with what happens to the "Unheavenly Creatures".
Todd Self I agree. I love the final version but I did question the lyrics often, they just didn’t seem to fit right to me. This version just makes more sense to me.
Yup, for me this should've been the chosen version for disc. It definitely sounds less appealing, but u gotta take unde consideration this lacks mixing and post production, if you take that under consideration, this version is superior, specially that alt chorus, dear god that chorus version is awesome!
It's pretty good, but I felt Claudio singing the N word in 4 part harmony for the entire chorus was totally unnecessary. Glad they fixed that for the album version
Eh, I feel Claudio tried to fit too many words into this chorus, impeding the flow and making it sound a bit awkward. What makes the one on the album work for me is that it says less, but hits with much more emotional impact. Also the explosive "soaring" quality of the melody is more consistent throughout so it sticks with me longer. It feels like it fits perfectly over the music.
I think the chorus is fun as well, but it give's this song a different feel. I can see why Claudio went with the Album version, and I love it. But I also love the demo just as much, but I do take a different feel and meaning from it. It flowed, and I can see where the name of the song actually came from. As for the album version, I enjoy the subtle mentioning of the Love Protocol Romance. But to each their own.
@@Night-Lord I'm sorry you are incorrect. Songs, especially Coheed songs, are better with bass guitar. This is just common fact, good sir. I wish you good day, and may bass bless your ears today.
The bridge is really awesome in this "I Will Miss This Version Of You..Oh, So Well"
I love hearing the different takes with the lyrics. Seeing what stayed or went is so intriguing to me as a musical soul. Thanks for this! :)
Eric Collard so you laughed at a time that came and went 😏😏😏
Moises Perez :p

Shhhh. Don't give it away! Damn dude, spoilers.
I literally got goose bumps on the alt chorus. Damn that was freaking impactful!

This love is in protocol
Why won’t you listen to me... (when I won’t you go?)
I’m in love, watch me burn as I fall
Favorite Demo, that chorus is fucking fun. Honestly want a Version 2 recorded in the studio
thank u coheed jesus
"Nothing in our way stands a chance."

Love protocol lyric is in the final version too
Wow, the title makes so much more sense now.

THIS LOVE IS IN PROTOCOOOOOL 🖤

Its more like an extra verse the a alternative Chorus, still pretty cool. Peace and love Peace and love !
I'd love to see LP live with the final chorus replaced with this one
exactly EXACTLY!!
I kinda like some parts of this chorus more
This is also a fun version. Can't figure out which I like better. :)
Better than the album version hands down.
Watch me burn as I fall. Shit that feels so much better
Not really. Lol makes no sense. Float is more appropriate considering the final lyrics claudio added later like "sweet vertigo" for instance
Watch this, you can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half 3:15
From shrek to coheed, you've come so far
this is my swamp
@@CatalystEXE too many onions bro. Maybe not enough, actually
Thought these got deleted. Couldn’t find them anywhere for a while
Can someone post the lyrics?
This one is definitely more fun to sing
I wonder how many views I've given this on my own 😅

I really love the 'I am in love, watch me float as I fall' line. but I like the other version better overall
Burn** not float
Yea...its burn...but i agree..that part is deep
Anyone else getting real SSTB vibes from this version? Think that's why some people like it better. But the final version def flows better.
This is not better... This is good yes, but definitely not better. Love Protocol is perfect as it is on the album.
I agree with you!

A strongly agree. This would be an awesome alternate chorus thrown in during a live play of Love Protocol though.
Yes, but I love having options to listen to this multiple ways it's so goooood
this sounds better for me..

oh sh*t this is..... different ....

Hahahahahaha!! That's gold Jerry, gold!😂😂😂
Love protocol demo chorus is better than the album version.... change my mind

The Crowing the bass is what makes this song No bass. Than no.
Amen brother
"Feel my lungs heaving, choking clawing down my back panic attack" all i gotta say
oh no
Without the bass in this song it’s not as good. Cool it’s different lyrics though.
Lol you're just wrong about that
@@Night-Lord I'm sorry you are incorrect. Songs, especially Coheed songs, are better with bass guitar. This is just common fact, good sir. I wish you good day, and may bass bless your ears today.
The version that made it onto the album feels very incomplete than this. I wonder why they changed it so drastically
