Imagine how much oil has gone into that land over the years, whoever buys houses there will find nothing will grow in their garden 😂 And all those Fords dying virtually within eyesight of where they were born.
Losing this speedway track is such a tragedy! The Hammers raced here from 1984 to 2018 when the stadium was sold off to developers after being on the list for a compulsory purchase order by the government. They want to build 2500 homes here, without any compensation for the speedway team to find a new home. Also, losing the motocross track, stock cars/bangers and the go-kart circuit too makes it even more tragic! :(. You can help protest the redevelopment of Arena Essex and join the fight for a new stadium by visiting thurrockhammers.com and following the link to a petition and objection letters. Thanks

With the exception of specific events, the first car across the line wins, but in the Firecracker there is a special award which normally goes to whoever was the best driver of the race. One way of getting that would be to put in some good hits. The only exception would be in the event of all cars being stopped before the end of the race in which case the win goes to the last car running, which also applies to a Destruction Derby where the cars can ONLY win by crashing.

Banger racing is a hobby not there to make money, the cost of running a track with health and safety breathing down your neck is not worth it .... If you get offered a pretty penny for your land theres only one option.... banger racing will be dead in the next 5 years

Mildo is shite... couldn't get anywhere near the stadium for the pre 70.... not enough parking and no marshaling for available space😢
