Found this guy on BBTS on clearance for a good price. Cant wait to get him now. Didnt realize he was as good as he is. He will be my first 1/12 skeleton

Great Review! Yeah, this thing is pretty dope! I really think all these dudes that are making skeletons saw how good those Storm Collectibles Skeletons did and thought it would be easy to jump on that train haha.
I think that bendy wire for the spine interesting, I like that it can still swivel at that the bottom, I think that will extend its lifespan.

I cant wait to get mine from BBTS, I also pre-ordered the Custom Kai labs shirt and armor. These will go great along with legions.

it's Baron Dark from Skeleton Warriors. not even a mention or comparison to the vintage figure?

Really dig these, was well as some of the other company's skeletons, but am kinda committed to the 4H skellys. I don't have the space for more, and with toy prices going up across the board am increasingly less willing to spend the funds on unknowns.

I didn’t think much of it before, but the stylized design is very nice with this skeleton.

Awesome. Thanks for breaking down these figures. It’s definitely neat and seems well-built. As you say though, there are skeletons abound, and I got two weeks to place an important skeleton-laden order. ✌🏾➕✊🏾 (Hope the return to work treated you well.)

UPDATE: According to commenters this character Eyes is from a show called "Skeleton Warriors" which I have never even heard of (perhaps it was after my time). My apologies to the people who are upset by this omission. (Also I called the arm guards "gauntlets," I should have said bracers.) Cheers everyone!

Skeleton Warriors was a cartoon that aired in/around about 1994/1995. I had the heroes, I hated the skeletons. I had the good guy in purple and still have the brand new good guy in maroon-red... I can't remember their names.

Definitely looks like Skeleton Warriors is where they got the inspiration for Eyes. The main bad guy in the show is named Baron Dark and he wears similar cape, loin cloth and "furry" shin guards. Also shares the fangs protruding from the chin. The entire series is available on youtube to watch for free if anyone is interested. They only made 13 episodes.

Bill, first impression this figure does have elements of the old Skeleton Warriors figures. I had most of the series and the cycle. Interesting articulation points those better then the old toys. That said this figure could fit right in the line. Great review ✌️

Great review as always! I have a few of these guys on order and I love the way they look as well as the innovative features you mentioned for the articulation. I think they have a slightly more menacing look to them that ML doesn't have. The darker, stylized look reminds me of the skeletons from Diablo, so I think when my Big Devil and the troop of these Skeletons arrive they will display well together.

@@abraxis7292BRO! DON'T POP YOUR LEG OFF UNLESS YOU'RE GOING TO WARM HIM UP WITH HOT WATER. Or you can do what I did, and pull the skirt up to where the belt is going between his crotch and one hip, and his hip joint will spin 360, if you bend him at the knee and bring his knee to his underarm, you can finagle the belt up to the knee of the leg that you spun the pelvic bone up and then over the knee and then back down over the foot. This will ensure no small pressure crack damage to your joints. I hope this helps. I know some people have damaged their figure pulling the spine

I've never heard of this brand. This skeleton is a little too cartoony for my taste. I think that I'll pass. I do like that they created plugs to fill the holes that are visible if you do not use the shoulder pads. I wish that the Four Horsemen did that with their Mythic Legions figures.

    • @DorkLair
      @DorkLair  Год назад

They actually have started doing this. The ogre scale figures with the scaled skin will have them for the ports that accept the extra arms.

These are NOT for me :
    1) The solid chest piece is not a good look in 2023.
    2) The flexible spine, while a good idea, will probably deteriorate as time passes by...
    3) To much of a good thing : Storm Collectibles and Mythic Legions are best and we still have to wait and see how Boss Fight's Epic H.A.C.K.S. Skeletons will do...
