So I finally got Rutabaga but when I boiled it with turnips roots and greens, the Rutabaga was hard on the outside and soft on the inside but a little stringy after chewing like straw? Like the broom straws? Did I do it wrong? The turnip roots were perfect, not crunchy but soft.
You peel it Did you cut them up? Mine was so good I cooked my rutabaga and greens and my turnip roots together. I put my ham hock separate. you didn’t cut them up good
Yes ma'am I cut them up just like you did your's. I don't know a lot about Rutabaga. A shopper from Walmart got it for me. Yes I peeled it and chopped it up in square's. Can I freeze them in a freezer bag? The turnip roots can they be chopped and frozen too?
@@friskyaugust4892 yes my last one I cook they was frozen because I save some from when I cook them the first time they were turnip greens, right I don’t know what happened but mine were good baby. That’s the only way I’m gonna cook mine from now on.
