Mapping Tips! Remembering the tunnels can be difficult. This guy mentioned using torches as queues. It is pretty handy. Also torches seem to be the one thing enemies don't destroy. Here is a a shorthand I have been using. This has been working pretty awesome for me. Saves a lot of time on wrong turns. Torch Markers: - 1 torch centered near the cave that leads back to base. Or just a centered path of torches. - A torch on each side of a building or tunnel that has been cleared or mined out. - A row of torches across an entrance to block a dangerous path you aren't ready for. - Intersections, put a numbered set torches in front of the different paths. - A close set of 3 torches in a line to mark a common trail I keep returning too.
This video has helped me loads. I love survival/craftings games but i get very overwhelmed by them. But this guidence is so useful, so much detail and step by step, thankyou. Its a subscribe from me.

A huge Tolkien fan man myself, I truly love the amount of work and effort that goes into these tip videos from so many different creators, and I watch them constantly. But seriously... how do so many of you not know how to say "hearth"? Its pronounced h-AR-th. Like heart. Like your organ. but with a 'th' on the end. Its just kinda funny that you are like the eighth youtuber I've watched that says "h-ER-th".
You're not the first to mention it. I swear I knew how to pronounce it, but reading it for some reason messed me up lol I have since correct myself and repented from my ways :)

You can rebind your dodge roll to another key (I put mine on M4/mouse back button). You get i-frames when you do it. If you have stamina to spare, you SHOULD be dodge rolling instead of sacrificing your equipment's durability.
great beginners guide, only thing i would add is with combat. the roll can also be done with mouse button 5 i think it is, or maybe i bound it that way i can't remember but it makes it much easier than trying to use CTRL, and also you can lock onto targets by clicking the middle mouse button. i don't use it often but if you're fighting a single target like the bear it makes rolling around the bear much easier.
Lol so I had just done all that myself except I didn't get a black diamond becoz I actually just sat on the platform near the broken pipe n waited for the hord to stop attacking 😢 now I know where to get them lol (already past the deep mines but still don't have fast travel lol)
so is there a bug where i only got 3 them statues and the place to offer isnt showing up at all ive killed all camps to of the boxes didnt have the idols is this a bug do i just restart game?
Just a BTW, it's pronounced Harth not Herth. My reason for watching is that the Iron Hammer does not appear in my crafting list, I can't make one and I've no idea why, still don't. 😢 Later..... Found it!
@matthewscheer7722 yeah I worked out my first world was a bit janked, I realised the mist was just like a poison effect that wore off, so I ventured through it with loads of food only to find every end was blocked off so I created a second world and moved all my stuff over, the map generator gave me better tunnel access this time, will probably use this process to farm black diamonds and elven wood due to their scarcity
I got distracted by your pronunciation of hearth sorry, you said "the hearth is the heart of the base", hearth and heart have the same "A" sound "Harth", sorry, great video just couldn't concentrate after that.

Go to your build menu by pressing B, and then go to the wood & stone tab. Assuming you’re in range of your hearth, you can build them :)

Does the combat have a bonus for timed blocks like Valheim? Where a well timed block stuns the opponent and grants a small guaranteed crit?
