I have a 2015 Multistrada S... Awesome machine! Wicked fast and the handling is so smooth... A well balanced bike. 13,000 Km with no regrets. Highly recommended...
One note on the cruise control... after starting the engine, there Must be a brake input prior to activating the CC. On a trip to Montreal one weekend I stopped for motion potion at the side of the highway. Pulled up to the pump, filled up, and away I went.
Once back on the road again, I attempted to set the CC but to my surprise, there was no response. Tried again... no-go. I later found out that what had happened was at the MP station after restarting Tesssie, I hadn't applied the brakes... no need to. It was a straight run, no stops to the highway.
Since the CC system uses a brake input to cancel a set speed, the system needs to know that the brake system is functional.
Anyways... long story short... if your CC won't set speed... give a tap on the brakes and you should be good to go... ✔

I loved it so much, I bought a 2016 MTS 1200S last week at Argyll. One thing I'd argue with you however, is that since Ducati introduced the Enduro Multistrada, that the Enduro model is the truer adventure bike than the regular MTS model. The Enduro pricing is more inline with the BMW GS as well.

dinonoce How do you like your Multistrada? I'm thinking about getting one. Thank you

19:37 Effortless leaning... such a well balanced machine... Kudos to the awesome people at Ducati... ✔
I've ridden with a full compliment of luggage (two sides and top box) and she handles the same... you would never know that you are carrying bags.

3:59 It does have a key... it's just not used for starting the engine...

After 200.000+ miles on my Ducati st2 I was looking for a touring bike. Like the multistrada but to salty new.bought 2011 1200s touring with all service records and 2000 $ of add ons seat, and lights, luggage rack ect. I think the 40.000 miles scared folks away from it .bought it for 6 grand 😎🏍🏍🏍🍻

I'm guessing it took a long time to sell the st2 don't know many who would by a bike with that many miles. How many major services did you have to do to the bike on the way to 200k miles?

I was new bike shopping this summer - tested the BMW GS, BMW 1000XR, the BMW RT and the Multistrada. Did not ride a KTM 1290, but I don't think it would have changed my decision. The 1000XR has way too much vibration, would be super annoying on long rides... they need to fix that. The RT is a super comfy ride, more car-like than motorcycle... and Wide. The GS was nice and it has a proven track record, but does it excite? Not really... it's a pretty common go to bike. With all of the "extras" you need to get close to the Multistrada, it even costs more. The display is not nearly as good as the Multistrada either. I don't ride off tarmac much, so the Multistrada won hands down. I'm loving this bike!

There are two concerns (dislikes) I have of the '15 MTS/S...
First is the position of one of the coolant hoses... my leg rests against it and it can get nuclear hot. 😲 At times I have to move my leg outward to cool off... Should be some sort of guard/insulation covering the coolant hose. I had pipe insulation covering the hose at one point, but removed it as it looked Goofy.
Second is the 'Plastic' lense on the dash. Very Easily scratches/scuffs. Should be glass. C'mon Ducati... this is a no-brainer. ✔
Also... to swap out the engine air filter, half the bike has to be pulled apart. A first timer would be looking at a couple of hours to change out the air filter... Once you've done it a few times, an hour and change.

Geezus man, shift gears!!! Cruising along on the highway in 3rd and 4th gear....dang man, what's the point in that?

Bryan Burgess I agree with you. What a da. I traded a boat for one about 2 weeks ago and quickly learned the Italians are very smart. The tach lights up every 1k, that range pretty much shows what gear to be in. I have found the torque doesn’t come on till 2.5k and pours in at 3.0. If his 75
mph was accurate, he should have been on 6th a long time before. He could have also pulled over and increased the settings to “heavy rain” mode. Increasing substantially his safety.

Bryan Burgess This by far is the best riding and “smartest motorcycle I have owned in 50 years of riding.

Don't believe the 1200R Monster is DVT. Not that it matters.... That bike is meant to be a beast anyway.

Nice vid, did you notice any flat spots in the rev range?

    • @EEEBA1

Roger Morello I think (but I'm but certain) there is one at about 5000 rpm. The 2018 model got that fixed.

How did the windshield do in the rain and hail?

      @sailcraze 4 года назад

Rambler358 I found it to cover pretty good in the rain. Luckily, I haven’t tried hail yet.
